The Schubert-Martin Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center at Cincinnati Children's provides a focused, team approach to comprehensive, individualized diagnosis and treatment for patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. We combine a multidisciplinary approach with the latest diagnostic methods, research-based treatments and surgical approaches to develop effective, customized approac

hes for each patient. Our center focuses on all aspects of caring for those with Inflammatory Bowel Disease / IBD, including:

• Evaluation and ongoing therapy
• Consultation and second opinions for complex cases
• Surgical treatment
• Quality-of-life issues
• Helping children and teens learn to self-manage their conditions
• Treating complex side effects of pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, such as growth and bone health issues

We are dedicated to optimizing care for young children and teens who struggle with inflammatory bowel disease daily. Because of this, pediatric patients often need more aggressive treatments than adults. Thanks to our specialization in pediatric medicine, our team is the best resource to turn to when faced with these unique issues. Close interaction among center members – all based at the Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Campus – means better, faster treatment for patients and their families. Our interdisciplinary approach to inflammatory bowel disease means that we treat more than just the condition; we focus on all aspects of caring, including the overall quality-of-life issues facing our patients every day.
