I’m excited to announce that we are rebranding to Lumenso Wellness, a name that reflects our commitment to illuminating the path towards mental wellness and personal growth. Lumenso is derived from the words “luminous” and “enso,” which is a circular symbol in Zen Buddhism representing wholeness, connectedness, and beauty in imperfection. Our journey to empower, uplift, and serve our clients continues, and we remain committed to our shared values of inclusivity, compassion, and social justice.

On this day in 1990, the World Health Organization made the decision to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder. It’s both worth celebrating and important to remember how much work is still to be done. If recent political times have taught us anything, it’s that we must not take any progress for granted and continue to do work to create a world that celebrates diversity of gender and sexual orientation, love, equality, and recognizes the humanity of all people. Let’s go 👊🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This is a daily practice and extends beyond our sexual orientation or gender, as many of us were taught other aspects of ourselves were linked to our being gay, bi, trans, etc. Everyday, we must practice showing compassion and love to these parts of ourselves.
