Let’s talk hobbies!

Inspired by a recent article on Denmark’s approach to happiness, we’re thinking about the importance of rest, renewal, and joy outside of work—especially in the world of medicine and research.

Whether it’s gardening, painting, hiking, or baking—what’s your go-to hobby that helps you recharge?

👇 Drop it in the comments—we’d love to hear from you!

Scientists from Cincinnati Children’s and collaborators in Japan have reached a milestone in organoid technology by creating liver tissue that forms its own internal blood vessels. This innovation could pave the way for better treatments for hemophilia and other coagulation disorders, and brings researchers one step closer to developing transplantable liver tissue.

Led by Takanori Takebe, MD, PhD, director for commercial innovation at the Center for Stem Cell and Organoid Research and Medicine (CuSTOM), the study overcomes a decade-long challenge by successfully generating functional sinusoidal blood vessels using a unique culture system and iLSEP progenitor cells, which are specific to the liver.
