Okay, let’s talk about today’s Total Solar Eclipse. Today's new moon will be at 19° Aries 24’ and is only 5° away from the nodal axis, which makes this a total eclipse! This solar eclipse will be conjunct with Chiron exactly at 19° Aries 24’. This makes today an even bigger deal! Let’s talk about it.
First, it is important to remember that we live through 2 eclipse seasons each year for a total of 4 eclipses a year! This isn’t to say that today is not important, but it’s good to remember that understanding and using energy is not the same as freaking out and getting scared of the energy that is coming your way. Astrology and energy work are tools, they aren’t something to make you fearful of living your life.
The energy that we can expect with any solar eclipse is new! The new moon phase marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle. This is associated with beginnings, renewal, and growth potential. It is your fresh start and a time for setting intentions. The solar eclipse makes this new moon energy so much greater! Since the beginning of time, many cultures have viewed total solar eclipses as powerful moments for personal and collective growth while other cultures have viewed them as negative omens.
With this solar eclipse in Aries conjunct Chiron, it is an important time to harness this energy to release old patterns, heal past wounds, and become a better version of yourself. Remember that Aries is you, it is the self. Chiron is helping to call this into action as he is the wounded healer. It is in our nature to see our pain as a burden, but Chiron is here to remind you that the pain you go through can teach you and once you heal, you can then teach others how to heal as well. Remember that healing is not only about becoming a better version of you, it is also about loving every version of you.
I highly recommend doing whatever feels right to you today. For some that might be rest, for others that might be ritual practice. Whatever you choose is absolutely correct, because you are doing Aries, you are doing you.
