NEW GRADUATE AT OUR ANDERSON OFFICE!
Ken was very happy when wrapping up therapy for BPPV (vertigo due to displaced ear crystals) and balance problems. By the end of therapy, he was able to show us some of his line dancing moves and wants to get his wife to join us for some balance training! Graduation picture with Nate foster PTA.
We can't make you an expert at line dancing, but we can get rid of your dizziness/vertigo and make you a balanced member of society.

FEAR OF FALLING IS ONE OF THE SCARIEST THINGS FOR SENIORS IN OUR COMMUNITY
Impact of falls on our seniors:

- 30% of community dwelling population over age of 65 will fall, 50% repeatedly, this increases to 42-50% over 75 years of age
- Falls are the leading cause of death due to injury in people over 75 years of age
- More than 40% of people hospitalized from hip fractures do not return home and are not capable of living independently
- 20-25% of those who have fallen pass away within one year
- 90 percent of hip fractures in older Americans are the result of a fall
- For those living independently before a hip fracture, 15 to 25 percent will still be in long-term care institutions a year after their fracture

Fear of falling leads to decreased daily activities, an increased risk of falling in the future, and a decreased quality of life.

5 STAR GOOGLE REVIEW!
3 years with VERTIGO until now - In Nov of 2021 I fell off a 22 foot ladder on to my concrete driveway, fracturing 10 of 12 ribs (compound fractured 6), collapsed both lungs, fractured skull, and blood on the brain. I was intubated (put into medical coma) and a priest read last rites to my body in front of my family. After 17 days in ICU, additional time in that hospital and a rehab hospital and multiple months of recovery, I was able to get everything back except long-term balance and vertigo issues that no one seemed to be able to address. A couple months ago, my P*P recommended vestibular therapy at The Center for Balance. After almost 3 years of living an 80-85% life, I am proud to say that the Center for Balance allowed me to clear that last hurdle so I can go back to living 100%. Thank you very much!!
