Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment in your hair follicle. It is best not to wax, pluck, or thread hairs as you won't have a good target. Shaving a day or two before is ideal. Expect it to take several treatments, achieving 10-15% less hair with each treatment. The treatments are timed to the growth phase of your hair cycle, roughly every 5-6 weeks.
The laser is state of the art, but no laser can detect a tan from the pigment in the hair follicle, so it is important to protect your skin from the sun during your treatment. Please alert us if you have been in the sun or plan to be in the sun for a prolonged time; 1 week before or 2 weeks after your treatment.
It usually takes 6-8 treatments to achieve 70-80% hair reduction. You may need a touch up every 6 months for maintenance.
