Eric was born to Paul and Vera Burger. He was welcomed home by older brothers Vaughn and Dave (Pam) and Sister Lisa (Bob). Eric spent most of his school years in Madeira, a community he always held very dear to his heart. In high school he played Varsity soccer and basketball, he was also a kicker for the football team. He went on to play soccer at Heidelburg and The University of Cincinnati. After college he decided to start a landscaping business, which he ran for many years. Soon after starting the business, he met Kathy. They married six months later, and he gained an instant family in Kathy's children Keith and Jennifer, whom he grew to love as his very own. A few years later they welcomed a child, Karlie. The family continued to grow to include two sons in law Kenny and Koby and a daughter in law Sara. Eight grandchildren Megan, Chase, Noah, Kyle, Emma, Andrew, Matthew, and Kate.
