The Adaptive Bridge is hosting the CP Soccer Midwest Showcase here in Cincinnati this year, taking place March 14–15 at the Mount St. Joseph Fieldhouse! This showcase is about so much more than soccer, it’s about bringing the CP Soccer community together for a weekend of growth, connection, fun and lasting memories.

Led by Cincinnati Program Chairs Christy Heinrich and Brenna Lonneman, CP Soccer is a fast-growing, competitive and inclusive sport for youth ages 4–18 with cerebral palsy, stroke, or traumatic brain injury who walk without assistive devices. The game blends skill, and community giving athletes a chance to build confidence, connect with peers and play the sport they love at a high level.

Come support these incredible athletes as they show the region what’s possible when purpose meets play. Let’s fill the fieldhouse with energy and encouragement!

James Scores Big!

Today, the Indian Hill Braves gave us all a reason to cheer — and tear up a little. James, a young Cincinnati boy with cerebral palsy, scored a touchdown that lit up the field and warmed every heart in the stands. With the support of his teammates and a roaring crowd, James crossed the goal line in a moment that was nothing short of magical.

This wasn’t just a play. It was a celebration of courage, inclusion, and the power of community.

To the Braves: thank you for showing the world what true sportsmanship looks like. To James: your smile says it all. You’re a hero in every sense of the word.

James Dillman thought when he joined the Indian Hill Braves youth football team, he wouldn't play because of his cerebral palsy.

But his football dreams came true when he scored a touchdown Saturday. With James using a walker and the help of his teammates and the opposing Loveland Tigers, he crossed the goal line and scored.

His mom Anna told us its a moment James' family will never forget.

Charlie was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in our Infant Motor Evaluation Clinic. His parents, Chelsea and Chuck, founded Cheering for Charlie to help spread awareness about the importance of early diagnoses and intervention for infants with cerebral palsy, and have been supporting families since 2023. They recently made a generous donation of 70 Care Bags to our Cerebral Palsy Center! These bags will be given to families during their child’s initial cerebral palsy diagnosis. Each bag includes a dinner and ice cream gift card, a toy for their little one, a children’s book featuring a main character with cerebral palsy, and special Cheering for Charlie materials.

💚 Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month 💚

Cerebral Palsy (CP) describes a group of permanent disorders affecting movement and posture. Did you know that most children with CP will walk? 60% will walk without an aid, 10% will walk with an aid, and 30% will use a wheelchair. Let's raise awareness and support for those affected. Wear green and join us in spreading the word and making a difference! 🌟
