😊A Big Hello from Aiden😊
Half of a heart but full of personality

It’s been a while so it’s time to give another update.

🙌🏻Look who passed their swallow and feeding test. Aiden passed it so well. He is now alllowed to begin eating like normal fed babies/toddlers and not be so dependent on the feeding tube.

🙌🏻His echo was good.

🙌🏻He is mobile. He moves all over the floor playing with toys. Super close to crawling now.

🙌🏻He says multiple words.

🙌🏻He smiles, laughs, giggles, expresses himself.

🙌🏻He is still receiving PT, ST, OT. His therapist are the best. They are consistent, caring and supportive.

🙌🏻He loves going to church, he is probably the most spoiled church baby I’ve ever seen. But so thankful our whole church adores him so good.

Aiden was admitted into Cincinnati children’s hospital to undergo some routine tests on his heart and check for his ability to begin eating. We are so thankful this milestone has come to pass. 17 months later and our boy gets a green light to eat.
The doctors and nurses said, they cannot believe the progress he has made. He kept them on their toes his first 8 months of life but today he is thriving and doing so well.

It’s amazing what prayer, faith and therapy can do. HLHS is scary. Every single day is a day of unknown but we do know who holds all the unknown. God has always had Aiden and his heart in the palm of his hands. Our faith has gotten stronger. We are BLESSED.

Today is world heart day.
In honor of my heart warrior Aiden, who continues to fight CHD.
Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome is not curable but with multiple open heart surgeries these babies get a chance at life.
We are forever grateful for the heart surgeons at Cincinnati children’s hospital. Aiden had such a rough battle at birth but he is thriving today. God has been so good to our sweet baby and we will praise his name forever!

Everyone meet Quinley!!!

These two beautiful babies are heart warriors.
This little girl came to see baby Aiden every single day when they were in the CICU together.

Today Aidens very first little friend, Quinley, got the call she has waited on for a long time. She got her heart. While we are all celebrating her new chance at life we are also praying for the family who so generously gave her baby’s heart to her. We know that momma is broken today.

We want to ask everyone to be in prayer for Aiden’s heart warrior friend, Quinley. She will be in transplant surgery all day. We pray and ask Jesus to help her body accept the heart and for a smooth recovery. We ask Jesus to be with her family as she is in surgery. We ask Jesus to be with the other child family who suffers the loss so another child can have life.

CHD is hard. CHD is ugly. But with God all things are possible.
We have been praying for her miracle for over a year. Please join us in prayer.

Jesus we give you Quinley today an trust you to take care of her.

🙌🏻Aiden update🙌🏻

It’s been a while since we’ve update so I thought I would just post a praise post. This month marks one year post his first open heart surgery. HLHS has so many ups and downs but we are continuing this fight.

Our sweet Aiden IS THRIVING.
He is making progress with therapy. Although he dislikes PT.
He says mama, dada, bye.
He sits up unsupported
He plays with toys
He laughs, giggles, makes faces
He waves
He makes the hand motions to wheels on bus
He has multiple teeth
He bad began taste testing foods.
He still loves baby shark!!!!!

His heart appointment this week went well. His heart echos continues to show his heart is still doing good.

HLHS is a scary disease but Aiden is living proof that with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Aiden has a testimony to share with the world. We are so blessed. ❤️

🥳Happy Birthday to my sweet miracle Aiden 🥳

Today you turned 1 year old.
Today you beat so many odds with HLHS.
Today many prayers came to pass.
Today we praise JESUS for our many miracles.

On this day one year ago it was one of my scariest days of my life, all I could do was pray and trust God …. God IS SO GOOD. here we are… happy 1st birthday Aiden..
you have went through more then any baby should ever have to endure yet, you are strong and happy as can be .. We thank God he has brought you through all of this and we cannot wait until you get big enough to tell people what all JESUS has done for you…
You are my miracle baby … mommy loves you. 
You are a child of God.
You are a CHD survivor.
You are beautiful.
You are strong.
You are loved.
You are prayed for.

Im so thankful to celebrate this day with you so full of smiles, joy and love.

Look what a milestone. One that once seemed impossible.

Today Aiden attended his first day of Early School. The teachers at LKLP Early Head Start done amazing with him. They were so caring and attentive to all his needs. He was all smiles with all the attention from staff and kids.

You may be thinking why did we choose to enroll him in a school setting with so many health needs. This school meets all his needs. We feel this will help him overcome all his delays. All his therapist come to his school, the interactions, the early learning experiences all happen at one place now. We were previously traveling to get his needs met. All his doctors signed off and agreed for him to attend. One heart specialist said, it’s time to let him out of his Bubble and enjoy life. 😊

I wish I had more pictures of his first day but at some point momma had to leave. I may or may not have called and cheked on him a time or two.
I missed my boy so much today but i know he was in good hands.
We are loving watching him explore his little part of this big world.

Aidens heart follow ups continue to have good reports. We are so thankful for his recovery. He is doing so good since being home.

Pray for us. This Is a big transition for our family.

Look at our big boy! He is growing so good. Aiden is doing so well in therapy. He is beginning to sit up with very little support and manipulate toys. So thankful to be home and watch him live his little life.

❤️Aiden update (1 month home)❤️
🥳Happy 9 months of life little heart warrior🥳

Aiden is doing well at home. He is still a mommas boy and is trying to adjust to all the attention from everyone.

-He attends church service weekly
-He loves stroller and car rides
-He officially met all his therapist and he was the sweetest baby to them. All smiles.
-He definitely has the whole family wrapped around his finger. We all at his little beckon call
-His check ups continue to look good.
The cardiologist said it’s time to get him out of his bubble and let him enjoy life.

We have enjoyed letting him meet some of you. If you see us out please feel welcome to say hi and meet our boy.
We are so thankful for all our prayer warriors. Please continue to pray for him as he begins therapy to play catch up.
He is a living miracle and we are so blessed to call him our son. ❤️

Aiden is HOME! He had a very big day.
Thank you to everyone who came out to show us love and welcomed us back home. Knott county has the best first responders and our community is full of good people.
Above all thank you for every single prayer that you said for us. We love you. Please continue to praynfor us. Being home is an answered prayer but also a little scary being so far away from his cardiology team.
Now we hope to get settled and a good nights rest.
