This Saturday! May 2 -- 3:30-5:30PM at Embra Cincy with Tim
Yes, you can do arm balances! Whether you’ve yet to take flight in crow pose or other postures, Tim’s fun and interactive workshop will help you get there. Learn practical tips, helpful drills, and alignment refinements that make arm balances more approachable and accessible for every body. Whether you’re working toward your very first lift-off or hoping to refine the control and lightness of your transitions, this workshop will offer tools to support your progress.
Together, we’ll explore foundational shapes like crow and side crow, with opportunities to play with additional balances such as flying pigeon, eight-angle pose, and forearm-supported variations. You’ll learn how to build stability through your hands and shoulders, engage your core for lift, and use momentum and breath intelligently to support safe exploration.
We’ll also break down dynamic movement patterns, including floating back from crow to chaturanga, rolling through to flow, and experimenting with creative entries and exits that bring a sense of ease and curiosity to your practice. Expect a supportive environment where you can ask questions, try new things, and discover what “flight” feels like in your own body.
Come ready to play, build confidence, and experience the lightness that arm balances can bring. Learn to move in new ways, shift your perspective, and perhaps surprise yourself along the way.
