Stephanie, our Outreach Liaison, had the privilege of meeting with the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office to discuss how collaboration between the justice system and New Horizons Centers and other providers can create better outcomes for our community.

Far too often, individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges end up in the criminal justice system. By connecting people to effective treatment and recovery support, we can improve retention in care, reduce recidivism, and ultimately keep more people out of jail.

Partnerships like these strengthen both public safety and public health. When prosecutors, treatment providers, and community organizations work together, we open doors to healing, stability, and long-term change.
