Theme nights aren’t just for our IL, AL, and Embrace residents — we’re proud to bring our Enjoy Signature Experience to our Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Long Term Care residents here at Wellspring as well!

By setting the table with intention and offering a hospitality-driven dining experience across campus, we help nurture positive outcomes. When residents come out to the dining room, share a meal, and engage with others, they’re not just enjoying good food — they’re staying active, making connections, and finding encouragement from people going through similar journeys.

Tonight’s Cincinnati Chili Night was a hit, complete with classic three-ways, coneys, and of course… plenty of oyster crackers! Even residents who are only with us for a short stay can still build meaningful memories and connections.

At Wellspring, we believe food is more than a meal — it’s community, comfort, and care.

Today our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Cincinnati’s Salty Dog Museum, and what a treat it was!

For those who haven’t visited, the Salty Dog Museum is a unique local gem dedicated to preserving and showcasing beautifully restored classic automobiles and antique fire trucks. Walking through the museum feels like stepping back in time—each vehicle has a story, from early 1900s fire engines to iconic cars that defined generations.

Our residents loved reminiscing, swapping memories of cars they once owned or admired, and exploring the craftsmanship up close. Outings like these are such a meaningful part of our community life—creating moments of joy, sparking conversation, and bringing history to life right before our eyes.

Happy birthday to our girl, Missy!

If you pass by the front desk this week, please take a moment to wish her the happiest of birthdays!

Missy is truly the quarterback of Evergreen — fielding countless phone calls, helping residents, supporting first responders, greeting visitors, coordinating with vendors, and keeping everything running smoothly. She hardly ever catches her breath, yet she handles it all with grace, humor, and heart.

Since the day she started, she has been an absolute gem and a joy to our community. We adore her, we appreciate her, and we’re so grateful she’s part of the Evergreen family.

As part of our Enjoy Signature Experience, we love bringing people together through food — exploring new flavors, learning about different cultures, and connecting over shared experiences.

Tonight’s Asian Cuisine Night was a flavorful adventure! Our dining team served up a creative twist on Kung Pao Chicken using chicken meatballs, paired with sesame garlic broccoli, a savory Korean beef bulgogi rice bowl, and crispy egg rolls for fun.

We’ve also been bringing these fun themed dining nights to our rehabilitation and short-term care floors at Wellspring! Our goal is to encourage residents to come out of their rooms, join others in the dining room, and enjoy a delicious meal in a lively, social setting. We believe that food is nurturing and that sharing a meal with friends and family contributes to not only the joy of the day but also to the healing and recovery process. At Wellspring, we’re proud to offer a dining experience that’s as restorative as it is enjoyable — because recovery should nourish both body and spirit.

Food has a special way of bringing people together — and tonight was a perfect example of that.

Today, we proudly celebrated Veterans Day with a heartfelt morning of gratitude, reflection, and community. We began the day sharing stories and memories over coffee and donuts, as our veterans connected and reminisced about their time in service.

Our programming team put together a wonderful Veterans Day service, where we had the privilege of thanking and recognizing each veteran with a commemorative award from all of us here at Evergreen and Wellspring. Between our two communities, we are honored to have over 50 veterans who have bravely served our country—and we are forever grateful for their courage and sacrifice.

To close the morning, our dining team hosted a delicious brunch for our veterans and their families—because today, and every day, we celebrate them.

One of our Embrace residents, Bob, received special recognition today for his time in service from Hospice of Cincinnati. Thank you, Bob.

Brittany Coleman and Trina Anderson, our Divisional Directors of Memory Care, attended the Brain and Build Senior Housing News Conference. We were proud to have Brittany represent Senior Lifestyle as a panelist, where she discussed how personalization is a mindset — not a person — and emphasized that our greatest opportunity for the future lies in building consistency.

This conference was a powerful reminder of the incredible work being done across our industry in Memory Care — and how much opportunity there still is to grow, learn, and innovate. Brittany and Trina left inspired to keep exploring new ideas and to ensure we continue delivering the highest quality programs and most meaningful experiences for our residents.
