Today, we proudly celebrated Veterans Day here at Azalea at Cinnaminson. We took time to thank the incredible men and women who have served our country.
Each veteran received a certificate and pin as a small token of our deep appreciation, and we held a heartfelt ceremony to honor their service and sacrifice.

🍴 What’s Cookin’ at Azalea 🍴

As the evenings grow cooler and the days a little shorter, Chef Angela and her talented team are serving up the kind of comfort food that warms the soul. ❤️ This week’s menu is full of hearty favorites and homestyle goodness made right here in our kitchen!

This week’s specialties include:

🥩 Hot Roast Beef with Horseradish Sauce – Tender, slow-roasted beef piled high and drizzled with a creamy horseradish sauce that adds just the right touch of zing.

🍤 Shrimp Scampi – Succulent shrimp sautéed in butter, garlic, and white wine, served over a bed of pasta for a dish that’s as elegant as it is comforting.

🥪 Corned Beef Reuben – Layers of juicy corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing grilled to perfection on rye bread.

🥗 Classic Greek Salad – Crisp romaine tossed with Kalamata olives, feta cheese, red onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes, finished with our house-made Greek dressing.

Our residents and team had a spook-tacular time celebrating Halloween together! There was music, dancing, delicious food, drinks, and plenty of laughter during our special happy hour.

Everyone showed off their creative side during our costume contest—from funny to frightful, the costumes were fantastic!

🌸 What’s Cookin' at Azalea at Cinnaminson! 🌸

Chef Angela and her culinary team have been busy in the kitchen this week, serving up fresh flavors and comfort favorites that our residents absolutely love.

On the menu this week:

🦀 Crab Pomodoro – tender crab tossed in a bright tomato-basil sauce that tastes like a seaside getaway.

🍰 Pink Sweets Table – a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! Homemade cream puffs, cookies, and strawberry shortcake made with love.

🍳 Breakfast Grilled Cheese – melty, golden perfection with a morning twist!

🥗 Harvest Crunch Salad – crisp greens, apples, and nuts tossed in a light dressing for a fall-inspired bite.

🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Walk – A Beautiful First Annual Event! 🎀

Yesterday, our community came together for our first annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, and what an inspiring day it was! 💪

We kicked things off with an incredible message from two-time survivor Melissa DeVries, whose strength and story gave us the energy and hope to complete our walk right out front. 🌟

Fun was had by all as we honored the survivors we know and love, and took time to remember those we've lost. 💕 It was a powerful (pink) day filled with unity, love, and purpose.

A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing partners who helped make this event possible — and a special shoutout to our incredible staff and residents for decorating, raising funds, walking, dancing, and showing their unwavering support. 🎗️🎉

🏆 Honoring a Legend: Joe Pagliei, #32 🏈

Today was a very special day at Azalea at Cinnaminson, as The Depace Sports Museum of Champions honored our very own VIP, Joe Pagliei — and let’s just say, he’s kind of a big deal! 😉

At 91, Joe holds the incredible distinction of being the oldest living Philadelphia Eagle. Today’s celebration brought together some of his Azalea friends, respected sports writers, and a few fellow Philadelphia sports VIPs to recognize his remarkable career and legacy.

We’re so proud to call Joe one of our own — his stories, his spirit, and yes, his famous kick always bring a smile to everyone’s face. Be sure to ask him to show it off next time you see him! 🎉

Congratulations, #32 — you continue to inspire us all. 🦅
