Spent some time at a senior community this week and had a really interesting moment.
I was there seeing an in-home patient and ended up chatting with a resident in the lobby. He mentioned he already uses the podiatry group that comes in but still asked for my card and said he'd like to try this as well.
That's something l've been seeing more and more.
Not everyone wants the same type of care. Some residents prefer a little more time, a quieter setting, or a more personal approach.
That's where my role fits in, providing in-home or small on-site nursing foot care as an option for those who want something different.
It's been really rewarding to see how much residents appreciate having that choice.
