Our amazing Roots of Change (ROC) youth ambassadors are dreaming big — and they’re inviting all of us to be part of it. 💚

They’re collecting messages for one powerful question: “What would you tell your 15-year-old self?”

Parents, students, neighbors, friends — your words will be gathered together into something beautiful that reflects the hope, wisdom and resilience of our whole community.

October is Substance Misuse Prevention Month and Youth Substance Use Prevention Month.

Prevention matters — it promotes health, wellness, and well-being for every age and every stage of life.

Throughout October, PAAC will be sharing resources, stories, and ways our community can work together to prevent substance misuse and support healthy futures.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and the need for action in Ohio is urgent. In 2023, su***de was the 12th leading cause of death in the state and the 2nd leading cause of death for youth and young adults. These aren’t just statistics, they represent lives lost, families forever changed, and communities in pain.

At our Be the Change Youth Rally, former OSU football player and mental health advocate Harry Miller opened his heart with a message for anyone who feels weighed down by life’s challenges.

He reminded us that pain doesn’t have to have the last word — that there is strength in asking for help, courage in being honest, and hope in holding on.

Harry’s words are a powerful reminder: even in our darkest moments, we are never alone.
