Jack Welch’s Winning Principles (GE, 1981–2001)
1. Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it to be.
2. Change before you have to.
3. If you don’t have a competitive advantage, don’t compete.
4. Control your destiny or someone else will.
5. Simplify, prune, and relentlessly focus.
6. Leaders create a vision, articulate it, passionately own it, and relentlessly drive it to completion.
7. Don’t manage. Lead.
8. Get the right people on the team, then empower them.
9. Differentiate... reward the best, move out the worst.
10. Work hard, have fun, and celebrate success.
Simple, sharp, and still relevant for anyone building today.
