December Reset Week 3: Declutter
What areas of your life do you need to declutter? Your space, your mind, your life? Where do you need to make more room to breathe? Again you don't have to think of it as getting rid of stuff, think of it as making room for new!
•Clean out your closet and donate the clothes to a shelter. Do you have a habit of hanging on to items you don't wear and telling yourself you'll wear it more often? Sometimes knowing it's going to someone in need helps you let go of it easier.
•Delete apps you don't use. Go through your phone and get rid of stuff you don't use anymore. This can improve speed, storage, and time.
•Write physical lists instead of trying to remember everything. Do a brain dump. Write it all down and then you can organize and rewrite. Physically writing things also helps with remembering them so it's a win-win. List can help with organization, and they are easy to cross off and add to.
•Unsubscribe from unused subscriptions and email lists. This can help save money, time, storage, and sanity. Are you the person with thousands of unread emails? Unsubscribe from things as they come in and little by little delete old emails. This should help them from piling up, you don't have to do it all at one time!
•Clean out your fridge and cupboards for expired foods. Self explanatory.
•Clean and organize at least one room. Do you stress about everyday clutter? Get rid of some of it! As you pick up and organize the room, decide if there are any items you don't want or need anymore. Do one room every few days.
Clean up your mind and space to help reset, and then work on maintaining that. It takes less effort to maintain something than to let it pile up and then try to work through it all at once.
