Self Care 30 Day Challenge

Saturday, October 18th to Sunday November 16th

Join the 30-Day Self Care Yoga Challenge! Raise funds for UpRising Yoga — helping youth transform trauma into power. Every class supports UpRising Yoga’s work bringing Trauma- Informed Yoga Life Skills to incarcerated youth and healing communities across LA.

The challenge is to try to do 30 classes in 30 days. All classes count, even the fun relaxing ones. 

To join the challenge, write your name on the challenge grid in the lobby and a $10 donation to Uprising is suggested. Click on the link below to donate, or you can leave a check at the front desk. We will also have a poster with a QR code in the lobby.

Every tax-deductible donation helps expand Trauma Informed Yoga Life Skill Programming to reach more youth, staff, and community members who need these tools.

🌟 Spotlight Student! 🌟 Meet Eli 🌟

I started coming to Hot Yoga Claremont on May 2nd in honor of my late grandmother’s birthday. She always inspired me and told me how important moving your body was for your health and spirit. I had been looking for a new practice because I wasn’t in love with the gym, and had made a promise to myself on being consistent since I was going to be running a half marathon in June! (I did run it! And I really feel that focusing on my breath and all muscle groups in class helped me so much on my half). Additionally, I really wanted to be a part of a community and build a relationship with my body where I was excited to move!

Since becoming a consistent member at Hot Yoga Claremont I have noticed a significant difference in my strength, mood, and relationship with how I view my body. I’m so grateful that by telling friends to come and try a class that I’ve now created new friendships rooted in health and inspiring one another to push past what we think our limits are.

My life feels expansive and limitless. Vianna, John, and Xochitl are INCREDIBLE! I am so grateful I get to practice an act of love for myself, guided by their teaching.

My tip for new beginners? Come with an open mind. Modifications are there for you to use!! Don’t feel intimidated because you can’t go full out…yet! Consistency is key. And HYDRATE!

🌟 Spotlight Student! 🌟 Meet Lauren 🌟

I've been practicing reformer Pilates for over a year now, but switched to hot mat Pilates 6 months ago. Best decision ever

I’ve experienced better mobility and movement in my body. I’ve never felt stronger in my life. Pilates has helped me sustain endurance during any type of practice and has helped me stay concentrated in any task I do.

Some of my rituals would be getting to class early enough to lay my mat on the floor and sit in the heat for 5 minutes. I decompress and mentally prepare myself for class. It helps me be in good spirits and perform well in class.

My advice would be to always breathe, always bring water, and always go to class with a great intention. You are showing up for yourself. Make the best of it.

I really love the community of Hot Yoga Claremont. I’ve made so many friends, and all the instructors really put in the effort to make it the best class possible. Lots of laughter, sweat, and pulses have been shared at this studio. I am creating memories I will never forget, all while doing something I enjoy.

A 30-minute deep stretch using two-minute transitions to target hips, upper legs, and lower spine. Stay in the warm room after class for an effective relaxing post-workout wind down, or come in to quickly get a new lease on life.

🌟 Spotlight Student! 🌟 Meet Cynthia 🌟

I’ve been practicing Bikram yoga since the spring of 2013. I didn’t think I could stick with it because my body naturally runs hot. It became a challenge for me to hang in there.

As I became more comfortable, I practiced 5 mornings a week. I felt fortunate to have amazing teachers who not only knew the practice but also understood the body. They helped me find a way into poses that I was struggling to execute.

As I reflect on the years, I know the importance of continuing my practice for flexibility and mobility. I am a healthy person and have continued my journey through a broken foot, back issues that pop up, etc.

There are some poses I still struggle with, but imagine how excited I was when, at 70, I was finally able to touch my forehead on the floor during Standing Separate Leg Stretching pose!

I will be 72 in September, and often I recognize that I am the oldest person in the room but I feel good about it!

More than anything, I would encourage new practitioners to arrive early for practice and just continue to try. Communicate with the teachers and don’t push doing something that really causes you pain.

I appreciate the community of practitioners at Hot Yoga Claremont, and I love the 6:30 a.m. practice as it’s a great start to each day.

Meet April! She teaches Hot Pilates!

"I discovered Hot HITT Pilates over six years ago while transitioning from a high-impact runner to a more sustainable fitness lifestyle. What began as a way to support my body through that shift quickly turned into a passion. The incredible energy, healing, and strength I found at Hot Yoga Claremont inspired me to deepen my practice and become certified.

My goal as an instructor is to lead classes that are energizing, empowering, and challenging just like the ones that inspired me. I teach from a place of gratitude, always aiming to give back the same support and motivation I once received. My students fill my cup as I help them strengthen theirs."
