Ancestral or generational karma refers to the patterns, behaviors, unresolved trauma, and past experiences of one’s ancestors can have a profound and direct influence on the current generation’s life experiences.

Ancestral healing is a practice focused on clearing the energetic and spiritual challenges that have been passed down through your family line, from your parents and grandparents and earlier generations.

In essence, unresolved trauma, behaviors, and blueprint of past generations within a family can manifest as repeated challenges, emotional difficulties, or even physical ailments in their descendants.

With the use of sound and personalized energetic Shamanic healings, this sound bath is an invitation to clear and drive away negative energy and bad karma from previous generations.

We 🩷 this ✨ Yoga is not an escape—it’s a way to engage more fully. ✨

In a world that often feels overwhelming, it’s easy to think of yoga as a way to disconnect, retreat, or escape.

Yoga isn’t designed to remove us from the world—it’s meant to prepare us to show up in it more fully.

Yoga strengthens our ability to be present, compassionate, and resilient—not just on the mat, but in our relationships, communities, and daily lives.

It teaches us how to hold space for both ease and discomfort, to navigate challenges with awareness, and to move through life with greater intention and integrity.

So let’s reflect—how has yoga helped you engage more deeply with the world around you?

🌟 Spotlight Student! 🌟 Meet Preeti! 🌟

Preeti attends Hot Yoga 5-6 times a week!

I started practicing Hot yoga in January 2017 at the Claremont studio after a knee injury. After my first class, I knew this was the practice for me. I started practicing three times a week and noticed tremendous benefits, both medical and physical. I now practice hot yoga 5-6 days a week.

The benefits I have experienced from this practice are mental clarity and concentration. Helps manage stress and anxiety, depression, improves skin health, and improves blood flow. It is a mind and body detox.

My advice to 1st time practitioners is to stay hydrated, listen to your body, and try to stay in the hot room.

Overall, hot yoga is a transformative practice for both the body and mind.

I owe a great deal of gratitude to this practice and the teachers of this studio. This practice has changed my life.

✨Teacher Spotlight! ✨

Meet Sharon! She teaches Bikram Yoga!

Sharon Colalongo
Yoga Teacher | Wellness Advocate

My yoga journey began in 2001 when I wandered into a class at Bikram Yoga West Seattle, hoping it would help me train for a marathon. The first few sessions were grueling—90 minutes of intense heat, sweat, and self-doubt. But with time and perseverance, what started as a physical challenge evolved into a deeply transformative experience. My hot yoga practice became a powerful tool for understanding and balancing my mind, body, and spirit.

Inspired by the profound impact this practice had on my life—and with the unwavering support of my family—I earned my teaching certification in 2009. Over the past two decades, Bikram yoga has remained my anchor, especially during challenging moments like the pandemic. It’s my personal reset button: a space to clear my mind and welcome new energy and perspective.

Teaching yoga and supporting others on their wellness paths is a true privilege. I’m deeply grateful to share this practice with anyone seeking greater well-being—one breath (and yes, a little sweat) at a time.

✨Tips for a Healthy and Sustainable Hot Yoga Practice✨

Be Kind in Your Self-Reflections
Pay attention to your inner dialogue. Speak to yourself with compassion and patience.

Make Space for the New
Approach your practice with openness. Let thoughts, sensations, and emotions move through you without judgment or reactivity.

Cultivate good habits
Practice setting attainable goals such as maintaining a consistent breathing pattern or staying on your mat the entire class. Simple sustainable practices build consistency and lead to lasting results over time.

✨Teacher Spotlight! ✨

Meet Linda! She teaches Hot Pilates and Yin!

My journey into yoga began in the spring of 2008, when I attended my first class—unaware that it would change my life forever. I quickly discovered a deep passion for movement, mindfulness, and the human body. By the summer of 2009, I became a certified Bikram Yoga instructor, and since then, I’ve earned certifications in Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, HIIT Pilates, Classical Pilates, and NASM Personal Training.

In the fall of 2009, I took my practice global, traveling and teaching across six continents. For over a decade, I lived a nomadic lifestyle—moving every few months to new countries and cities, leading classes and hosting yoga retreats, connecting with diverse communities, and immersing myself in different cultures and languages.

This experience has been the foundation of my teaching philosophy. I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of body types and individuals facing a wide range of limitations, injuries, disabilities, and conditions. These lessons—learned directly from my students—have become the most valuable teacher training I could have asked for.

Today, I bring that depth of knowledge and curiosity into every session. My mission is to support others in discovering strength, balance, and self-awareness in their bodies—while remaining a lifelong student myself.

Right now, my favorite form of movement is Pilates. I genuinely enjoy both teaching and practicing floor Pilates and classical reformer Pilates. As an instructor, I love the creativity it allows me to bring to each session, and as a student, I appreciate the challenge and precision it demands—it constantly keeps me engaged and growing.
