Join us in circle for an intimate hands-on, heart-centered experience as we craft our own Turtle Shell Medicine Rattles - powerful instruments of ritual and prayer, protectors of song, and keepers of ancient stories.
Just as rice and beans provide a complete meal - humble, nourishing, and strong - so the rattle and drum feed the soul.
If the drum is the heartbeat, deep and grounding like the Earth’s own pulse, the rattle is the breath, the seed pod shaking in the wind, the nostalgic whisper of rain.
This is why we work with both!
These simple instruments serve as the rice and beans of Spirit, sustaining our inner life with rhythm, song, ceremony, dance.
And the rattle is the tool we reach for to (quite literally) shake things up, break up the excess, that crusty, stuck, stubborn energy, the things we carry on our neck, back, and shoulders, or even tucked away into some secret room of the heart.
The rattle represents chaos contained, seeds, beads, shells in a pod, like tiny cells dancing in the womb - providing us a safe space to feel, breathe, and BE with ourselves as we let everything else go.
With each step, you’ll shape not only a rattle but a loving ally infused with your own intentions, blessed in ceremony, and ready to accompany you as you bring more ritual, magick, and meaning into the mundane.
