What’s the first thing you love to do in the morning? I love getting outside!

Want to start the day well? Waking up at the right time can set the tone for a productive day! Ideally, aim to rise between 6 AM and 7 AM. This timeframe aligns well with our body's natural circadian rhythms, which promote wakefulness during daylight hours. However, individual sleep needs vary, so listening to your body is key.

To create a great morning routine, start by gradually adjusting your wake-up time to ensure you’re well-rested. When you wake up, take a moment to stretch and breathe deeply, which helps awaken your body and mind. Hydrate with a glass of water to kickstart your metabolism and rehydrate after sleep.

Next, consider incorporating a brief movement session—yoga, a walk, or any form of exercise can uplift your mood and energize you for the day ahead. After your workout, indulge in a nourishing breakfast to fuel your body and brain.

Finally, spend a few minutes engaging in a mindfulness practice, whether that’s journaling, meditating, or simply reflecting on your goals for the day. This practice not only enhances focus but also cultivates a positive mindset that can significantly impact your day.

Remember, establishing a consistent wake-up and morning routine can lead to increased productivity and clarity, allowing you to navigate the day with purpose.

What’s the first thing YOU love to do in the morning? Share your routine with me!

Ready to cultivate calm? JOIN ME TODAY @ 3pm Pacific/ 6pm Eastern

Martha used Reiki to heal her own brain injury from a head-on collision with a car while she was on her bicycle in 1976, which she considers a miracle. She decided to offer Reiki to the midcoast Maine community as a way to pay forward the miracle she received. She would like to express her deep gratitude to the many excellent teachers and therapists from whom she has received so much healing and guidance.

Martha has been practicing Reiki for her clients and teaching Reiki to her students for over 29 years in the midcoast area of Brunswick, Maine. Reiki is a very simple, hands-on healing practice that helps with relieving pain, restoring well-being, and helping to reduce anxiety and depression.

Using local need as her guide, she has provided Reiki for clients and has taught students to do what she does, for almost three decades. In addition to her busy home-based practice, some of her additional venues include:

* giving Reiki to surgical patients in the operating room of local hospitals, with the surgeon's permission
* giving Reiki to dying patients as a private Certified Hospice volunteer
* designing and running a weekly Reiki Clinic for 16 students at Bowdoin College
* teaching Reiki on campus to Bowdoin College students
* hosting Reiki Clinics and teaching both Introductory and Advanced Reiki to Emergency Medical Technicians at their annual recertification conference
* providing Reiki Clinics to physicians, nurses, various medical clinics, local support groups, and nursing home staff
* giving Reiki to patients while employed by a private physical therapy practice
* giving Reiki to people with Alzheimers, at the request of family members, to help increase their awareness and decrease their agitation
* offering online Reiki I and II classes to students across the USA and Canada
* treating people with Distant Reiki, anywhere

06/25/2025

Going to bed at the right time is essential for optimal health and well-being.

The ideal bedtime varies by individual and age but generally ranges between 9 PM and 11 PM for adults.

This window aligns with your body's natural circadian rhythms, promoting quality sleep and restorative rest. Going to bed early allows for a full range of sleep cycles, which are crucial for physical recovery, cognitive function, and emotional regulation.

Prioritizing sleep not only enhances productivity and focus during the day but also supports long-term health. Finding a consistent bedtime routine can help improve overall sleep quality.

For me, 8 or 8:30 ice what I aim for depending on the season. I start "thinking about it" around 7.

What time do you typically hit the hay?
