This photo is a very special one, let me explain...

Women come into our homes broken, family torn apart, pieces of their life everywhere, and completely lost as to how to even start to figure it all out.

This woman cam in almost 18 months ago full or walls, in drug court, not being able to see or talk with her daughter, and in a new home with new recovering women to adjust to as well.
She has been through ups and downs and has stayed clean through them all and that along with her perseverance to change and grow is why this photo is so special.
Her mom and daughter came down to visit her and got to spend the whole day with us 🙏 Our Faithy'Z got along so good with her and they played and laughed for hours.
It was an emotional moment to see them hug and goof around and man did it fill my heart so much to finally see her get to be a Mom like she deserves ♥️
Along with growth and determination she has been reliable and consistent... She has worked the same job the entire time she has been at Donna's Place and finally she made the big move and applied to a job that is in her career field. [SHE GOT THE JOB!!!!! 🐕🐾🐶]
She is certified as a therapeutic dog trainer and is still taking classes to be a Veterinarian. ✨️Today was the 1st day of her new job with animals 🥹 You could just tell she was in her element through the text messages alone... what a beautiful thing it is to see the process unfold and you witness the amazing blessings of NOT USING NO MATTA WHAT & DOING THE WORK EVEN WHEN IT HURTS can bring 💝

This woman came here on a rough start and most would have left for sure, but this one did not.
She sat with uncomfortable feelings, shared about her struggles, figured out her way in the Program, made healthy connections with other women, continues to grow and change... and has really reconnected on a whole different level with her beautiful daughter whom we gladly have welcomed to our home 🤗 We love you both! 💕

I am so so so grateful that you stayed Shawna and I really love getting to know you more and more 💕
You are really special and I hope you know that 💝

💝 This is why sometimes each photo is important to post... they tell such beautiful powerful stories of HOPE, growth and healing, and what the result of doing some hard messy work each day on yourself can bless you with...

Please congratulate our sweet Haley on 4 MONTHS sobah!!!!

She said to me today "if I had thought about not drinking for 4 months while in detox in the beginning, I'd say your nuts no way!" and I said "that's why its only One Day At A Time" 😉...and here she is 🙏

She gave herself a chance, kept an open-mind, did the work, and stuck and stayed 💪

When we opened over a year ago I couldn't see myself having the relationship we do with anyone in the home. It was a line a didn't know how to balance on and the house hadn't evolved to what it is today. I am so grateful I kept an open mind and stayed eilling to learn and grow 🙏
You were highly recommended by Sabrina Forbes and were a go-getter walking through the door. Your bubbly personality and beautiful smile was a needed addition to Donna's Place.
I have seen you deal with loss, sickness, barriers, family struggles, emotional roller-coasters, and the list goes on... AND I have seen you gain more connections within your family, be there for your Mom & Dad and family in trying times, move up to management in your job, gain another job in the recovery field, take CRSW courses to build your career path, work with your sponsor and grow and heal, build relationships with women in the home, become one kick-a$$ peer leader and teach another to follow in your footsteps, and I have seen you not use through it all good and difficult.
Today I see you knocking down barriers, checking off goalz, building your life up, and growing 🌱

This home wouldn't be what it is without you Rachel Marie and I hope you know how very very special you are to us ✨️ I am so grateful for you 💝

This is our peer leader Rachel who has been on fire since she walked in the door to Donna's Place 🔥

She has been motivated and willing to change and do what is needed to progess in her recovery. She has had many family hardships and her Grandfathers loss to deal with in such a short time, but she has been able to show up for them and be there for her family.
She has moved up in her job to a training position and is now training our newest resident who just got hired at her job.
She has flourished in her time being here despite what life has thrown her way and continues to be a power of example for not only the women in the home, but to the whole community ✨️
Thank you for being a part of Donna's Place Family and making this home such a wonderful place for these women to grow and heal by your leadership, guidance, and support 🙏
