Not all stress is visible.đź’ś

Sometimes it’s carried quietly—through the care you give, the presence you hold, and the ways you keep showing up for others✨

This Stress Awareness Month, we also honor the rest that happens in community. ✨

Because sometimes rest doesn’t mean being alone.

Sometimes it looks like moments of laughter, shared understanding without words, and being with the people who get it.✨

The ones who remind you to soften your shoulders, exhale a little deeper, and come back to yourself.

These are moments when you get to set it all down. To be supported instead of supporting, to be held instead of holding.

Rest can be restorative.
Rest can be relational.
Rest can be remembering you’re not alone.

✨ Who helps your soul rest and refresh?

What many women aren’t told about the brain–gut connection… 🧠

Your gut isn’t just digesting food—it’s constantly communicating with your brain.

In fact, your gut and brain are in a two-way conversation through what’s called the gut–brain axis. That means stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm can show up as bloating, nausea, or digestive discomfort… and gut imbalances can quietly affect your mood, clarity, and energy.✨

It’s not “just in your head.” And it’s not “just your stomach.”

It’s all connected.

When you nourish your gut, you’re supporting your mind. When you calm your mind, you’re supporting your gut.

Slow meals. Stress support. Rest. Gentle awareness of what your body is asking for.

This is deeper healing—the kind that honors your whole system.

Your body is always communicating. The question is… are we listening? 🤍

Today is Earth Day.🌎

It is a reminder to care for the world around us, but it is also a reminder to think about the environments we live in every day.

Your home.
Your routine.
Your mind.
Your body.

These are all environments, too.

And just like nature, they are affected by what surrounds them.

Stress builds when there is too much noise, too much pressure, and not enough space to rest.

Sometimes healing does not start with doing more.

It starts with creating more calm around you.

Today, try something small:

Step outside for a few minutes
Take a slow walk without your phone
Open a window and let fresh air in
Pause and take a few deep breaths

Small moments of stillness matter.

Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of the world.

Happy Earth Day đź’ś

Breathe in calm. Breathe out what no longer serves you. đź’ś

This is your moment to pause.

In honor of Stress Awareness Month, give yourself permission to slow down, soften, and simply be. Even a few mindful breaths can shift everything.

Soft, steady wellness in the middle of everyday life.đź’ś

“In my everyday life, wellness looks like choosing small habits and routines that support my lifestyle as a mother of toddlers. I don’t force wellness trends into my life. I choose what makes me happy, healthy, and fills my cup so I can be there for my kids. Early sunshine, constant hydration, and choosing nourishing foods for my family and me are the foundation of my wellness.”
- Nicole

Not everything that feels uncomfortable is meant to be avoided.✨

Sometimes what we experience as pressure is actually a moment of transition. A space where something is shifting, asking for your attention, asking you to respond differently than before.✨

The question is not always how to make it go away.
Sometimes the question is what it is asking of you.✨

And just as important, what kind of care you need while moving through it.đź’ś

Take a moment today to check in with yourself. Not to judge. Just to notice.

April is Stress Awareness Month ✨

And for many women, stress doesn’t always look obvious.

It shows up as exhaustion, tension, anxiety, and hormone shifts—
while still holding everything together.

Women are often conditioned to push through.
But your body keeps the score.

These signals aren’t weakness—
they’re wisdom.

✨ You’re not meant to live in survival mode
✨ You’re allowed to soften and be supported

đź’¬ What signal has your body been sending you?

Soft power. Sacred care. Intentional healing.✨

“My work at Women Rise is rooted in intention and care. I want women to know that yoga is a divine work-in, not a workout. Through yoga, herbal tea, and meditation, we can serve and heal ourselves in radical ways.” — La’Toya Berthil

You are worthy of care that transforms you from within.đź’ś

Strength often reveals itself in the moments we feel it the least.đź’ś

✨ Question:
What is one lesson you’ve learned from a woman that still guides you today?

💬 Laura’s Answer:

“One lesson I learned from a woman that guides me still today is that I am stronger than I think I am. There are times in my life that a situation makes me feel helpless, and those are the times when I’ve realized I’ve been the strongest because I’ve survived them. I’ve grown even stronger as a result. There are women on whom I can depend upon for support and help, but my strength and courage comes from within.”

Think of a moment that challenged you more than you expected. How did it reveal a strength you didn’t know you had?

When the weight of the world feels overwhelming, pause and come back to yourself. đź’ś

You don’t have to carry everything at once. Here are a few gentle ways to support your mind, body, and heart in overwhelming moments:

✨ Name what you feel — awareness softens intensity
✨ Limit the noise — step back from constant updates
✨ Breathe deeply — in for 4, out for 6
✨ Ground yourself — notice 5 things you can see, 4 you can feel
✨ Move your body — release what words can’t hold
✨ Focus on what you can control — even something small
✨ Anchor into your values — choose one meaningful action

This is not about disconnecting—it’s about staying rooted while the world moves around you and getting clarity on what meaningful actions you can take.

Save this for when you need a moment to come back home to yourself. đź’ś

There’s something truly powerful about creating space for girls to be seen, heard, and celebrated 💛

Our team had such a meaningful and FUN time partnering with The Lighthouse Project to facilitate Mental Health Awareness & Art sessions for middle school girls across Southern California. Through creativity, connection, movement, and conversation, these young girls showed up with courage, honesty, and so much heart.

It was a gift to witness—and celebrate—the strength, resilience, and brilliance of girls and women in the making. Every story shared, every piece of art created, and every moment of vulnerability reminded us just how powerful it is to invest in the next generation.

Here’s to continuing to uplift, empower, and create spaces where girls and women can rise 🌿✨
