Holiday Yes… or Holiday Stress?:🎄✨

Sometimes the real holiday magic is saying no before we say yes. Women don’t have to perform, impress, or do it all to make the season meaningful. 💜

This year, let’s choose energy that supports us, not drains us. Because peace is a tradition too.

If the economy has you feeling tense this holiday season, you’re not alone 💜

Swipe for three wellness-centered ways to support your mind, body, and energy during this time✨

💜 Gentle Reminder

Your wellness is worth protecting — especially during seasons of uncertainty. You’re allowed to choose a holiday pace, budget, and rhythm that nourish your whole self.✨

12/04/2025

✨ Holiday joy is real… but so is holiday overload.

Between planning, hosting, gifting, and making sure everyone else feels held, many women unintentionally overschedule themselves right into exhaustion.😩

If this season feels a little “too much,” you’re not alone. 💜

Press pause when needed, take a breath, and remember: your energy and peace deserve protection, too.

Read below for gentle ways to honor yourself this holiday season:

✨ Set boundaries without guilt
✨ Choose rest the same way you choose commitments
✨ Create small pockets of quiet—5 minutes counts
✨ Say “yes” only when your body also says “yes”
✨ Let go of perfection in favor of presence

This year, give yourself the gift of ease, space, and softness.
You deserve to feel supported—not stretched thin. 💜

For every woman carrying so much—this season is a reminder to pause, breathe, and honor the strength it takes to show up in all the ways you do. 💛

You juggle roles, support others, nurture relationships, lead, love, and keep moving forward—even on the days that feel heavy. Your resilience, your heart, and your quiet victories matter.

Take a moment to celebrate yourself: the lessons you’ve learned, the challenges you’ve overcome, and the growth that continues to unfold within you.

You deserve rest. You deserve recognition. You deserve grace. ✨

Did you know?✨

Women are significantly more likely than men to experience Major Depressive Disorder with a Seasonal Pattern — and symptoms often begin to surface right around November as the days grow shorter and sunlight fades.☀️

If you’ve been feeling a little heavier, slower, or more reflective lately… you’re not alone.
November naturally invites us to slow down, ground ourselves, and listen more intentionally to what our mind and body need.

💜 Honor the season by supporting your wellness:

• Get gentle morning sunlight
• Slow down your schedule
• Nourish your body with grounding foods
• Spend time in nature, even if it’s cloudy
• Seek professional support if your mood feels lower than usual and it’s not going away

Even in the darker months, your inner light still deserves care and attention.💜

✨ Season of Gratitude ✨

As we move through this season of gratitude, our hearts are full. We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to hold and co-create spaces where women can return home to themselves — where connection, reflection, and nourishment are at our center.

At Women Rise, we are honored to witness women of diverse backgrounds, stories, and identities come together — to share, to listen, to heal, and to simply be. These moments remind us that wellness is not a solo journey but a shared experience built in community.💜

To our incredible community of women — thank you for allowing us to hold space for you. Your openness, strength, and authenticity continue to inspire the work we do each day.💜

And to the question — Do we, as women, need spaces just for us?

The answer is a resounding yes.

Because when women gather, something sacred happens — we rise, together. 🔆

November is a time to pause, reflect, and appreciate the moments, people, and experiences that have shaped our lives.✨

Gratitude reminds us to see the beauty in everyday moments, to honor the lessons we’ve learned, and to carry kindness forward.

As the year winds down, let’s take time to celebrate life’s simple joys, the connections that sustain us, and the memories that warm our hearts🌻

We honor Native American Heritage Month by celebrating the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. Celebrate their culture all month long while bringing awareness to the hardship, including assimilation and displacement, they have faced in history.

📚Resources to learn:

• Watch documentaries or short films about
Indigenous peoples. For example, the webinar on the Tongva people: Tongva:
The First Peoples of Los Angeles.

• Read books by Indigenous authors or about Indigenous history and culture.

• Use lesson guides such as the one from the Lost LA curriculum about the Tongva before and after Spanish arrival.

Local Indigenous tribes and organizations supporting education & culture preservation:

• Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation (formerly San Manuel Band of Mission Indians) - they support community education and cultural preservation.

• Gabrielino/Tongva Nation - the First
Peoples of the Los Angeles basin, educating about traditions, sovereignty, and culture.

• The Los Angeles Conservancy - historic preservation nonprofit that educates about Los Angeles’ historic places and original inhabitants, including the Gabrieleno/Tongva people.

• Rancho Los Alamitos - the foundation partners with the Tongva community to educate local youth about the cultural significance of the area.

By engaging with these stories and communities we move beyond recognition toward respect, relationship, and responsibility. Let’s commit to learning, supporting, and honoring Indigenous peoples this month and always.✨
