Dale Alan Butterfield, 67, died on January 14, 2026 at the Christiana Care Center in Wilmington, DE. He was born on April 7, 1958 in Claremont, NH the son of Milford E. and Leatrice (Simms) Butterfield. Dale graduated from Stevens High School in 1977.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1979. His tour of duties included Okinawa, Philippines, Southwest Asia and the Gulf War (Deseret Storm). He was honorably discharged in 1995 after 16 years for medical reasons.

Dale was a quiet guy but loved his family and was a proud Marine. A loving husband and best friend. Dale would give the shirt off his back to anyone who was in need. He was the light in everyone’s eyes.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Butterfield; son, Corey Ryan Butterfield and his wife, Meredith; daughter, Nicole Lynn Butterfield Talley and her husband, Shane; Adopted into family, son and daughter, Larry and Madison Wainwright; granddaughters, Katelynn Nicole Morrison and husband, Gabriel, Cierra Lynn Butterfield and Tyler Cass and Haleigh Ann Butterfield; grandson, Cohen Beckett Butterfield; great grandchildren, Landon Morrison, Amelia Nicole Morrison and Hattie Mae Wainwright; siblings, Jean Gagne, James Butterfield and Loi Dube.

Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont, NH on Sunday, January 25th from 2 to 4PM. Funeral Service will be at the Union Episcopal Church, Old Church Road in Claremont on Monday, January 26th at 11AM. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

Keith Raymond Gaudette, 74, of Claremont, NH has gone home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Keith passed peacefully, surrounded by his family at the VA hospital in White River Junction, VT on Saturday, January 17th. Keith was a lifelong, devout, and courageous servant of the Lord. He bravely spread the works of Jesus with everyone he encountered, opening hearts and minds to the Word of God. Keith designed and contributed to his website, www.earoftheday.com, where he shared daily affirmations through scripture. Predeceased by his mother and father, Phyllis and Raymond Gaudette, sister, Carlene Canup and granddaughter, Leah Gaudette, Keith leaves his beloved wife of 54 years, Joane, of Claremont, NH; son, Peter (Julie) Gaudette of West Windsor, VT; daughter Sarah (Jami) Gray of North Sutton, NH; son, Philip Gaudette of Claremont, NH; daughter Elizabeth (Kevin) Parker of Newport, NH; daughter Christin (Daniel) Filkins of Plainfield, NH and grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, Luke, Emma, Ryan, Simon, Eli, Joseph, Jonah, Lake, Benjamin, and Ian; Sister, Audrey Deveney of Newport, NH and Brother Tyrone (Elaine) Farnham of Bedford, VA. A funeral service will be held at Stringer Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 AM, gravesite burial to follow at St. Mary’s cemetery. On Sunday, January 11th, with his wife and family at his side, Joseph “Joe” Lawrence St. Pierre passed away. Joe will be remembered as a devoted family man and a lifelong steward of the land, whose hands and heart were rooted in farming. He passes down values of hard work and care of his land. By his side for 68 years was his loving wife, Yvonne (Boivin) St. Pierre of Claremont with whom he built a life grounded in love, faith, and family. Together they raised six children.

The son of the late Wilfred & Lucille (Theroux), Joseph was born on August 3, 1937 in Claremont, NH. Joe attended St. Mary’s school before being employed at Bradley Airfield in Connecticut. Afterward, he devoted himself to farming, the work he truly loved. His farming years were spent in Walpole, NH and then later Ogdensburg, NY. Before concluding his career in construction, he worked at was Davis & Symonds Lumber Co., Presto Grain, C&I Construction, and then T-Bird Fuel. He spent his final years at St. Pierre Inc., continuing the family business and legacy. Joe and Yvonne shared a love of traveling and deeply cherished their time together. Joe was a member of the 3rd degree Knights of Columbus.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his 11 brothers and sisters, and his grandson Bobby Webb. Surviving Joe is his sister Monique St. Pierre of St. Agathe, Quebec, his wife Yvonne, and his children Laurent St. Pierre (Marcy) of Unity, Laura Cefarelli of Claremont, Tina Webb (Bob) of Dawson, GA, Cecelia Bly (Rob) of Claremont, Michele Condon (Rocky) of Unity, and Mariann Hosley (Cliff) of Charlestown. He was Pépère to his 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3.5 great-great-grandchildren, and Uncle Joe to his many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 15th from 5pm – 7pm at Stringer Funeral Home on Broad Street in Claremont. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16th at 11am at St. Joseph Church on Elm Street in Claremont. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Claremont, NH.

Edward Earl Watson Jr. Age 58 of Claremont, NH untimely passed away on December31st,2025. Ed was friends with many in the community and was known for his kind heart, laughter and willingness to help others in need.
Edwards final act of kindness was to give the gift of life though organ donation, which successfully saved another life in his passing.
Ed was born in Trenton, New Jersey on October 3rd, 1967, he spent most of his time outdoors and his best memory was days spent on the ocean with family.
Edward was a loving and devoted son to his mother, Janice Berger Watson, who predeceased him in March 2025.
Edward, despite having very few physical possessions, demonstrated extraordinary kindness that leaves a lasting impression on many. Ed touched many lives and mentorship within the street community, and by serving as a reminder of human resilience and the need for systematic change.
Edward's life was defined by the light he brought to others, not the darkness he faced privately.
A service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on January 17th, at 11am with a celebration of life reception following in the Parrish Hall of Trinity Church.

Eldon E. Roy, 79, of Claremont, NH passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at Genesis in Keene, NH.
He was predeceased by his parents, George W. and Ruth W. Roy; a younger brother, Stephen A. Roy; brother-in-law, Michael A. Cote; and a nephew, Scott A. Lizotte.
He is survived by his brother, Raymond Roy and wife, Eunice, his sister, Bernie E. Cote, nephews, Damien S. Bailey, Raymond L. Roy and wife, Wanda and Walter Roy, nieces, Tina Roy and Tammie L. Ferguson. Also, many great nieces and nephews.
He went from a farm boy to a logger, to heavy equipment mechanic to Ruger’s where he retired in 2008. He liked working with his hands. He loved God, family, fishing, hunting, and in retirement mowing the lawn. A gentle fun soul who will be missed. God bless.

Gary Thomas Graser, 44, of Claremont, NH, passed away suddenly on January 4, 2026, after a cardiac event. His devoted wife, Robin, was with him as he passed from this life and entered into the presence of the Lord, early Sunday morning.
Gary was born on November 25, 1981 in Carmel, NY to Lorraine Daly and Gary M Graser. Raised in Mahopac, NY, he attended Mahopac High School, where he played Lacrosse. He completed senior year at Walkabout, where found his true passion for the outdoors. Gary continued his studies at Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During that time, he also attended National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), where he developed strong leadership skills through wilderness education.
In 2014, Gary became the proud father to Sydney and loved every moment with his beautiful little girl. In 2019, Gary met the love of his life, Robin. They were married in 2021, and went on to have two boys, Cooper, and Bennett. Gary led his family with strength, love, and his wonderful sense of humor. His wife and children adored him. Gary instilled in them a love for God, nature, music, and all things mechanical. A devoted follower of Christ, he and his family joined Brownsville Community Church, VT, where he was known as a pillar of the church.
Gary was known for being unwaveringly determined and passionate at whatever he set his mind to. He was a natural leader, and quickly rose to leadership roles wherever he went, including in his career.
But more important than his work, Gary was focused on leading his life in a way that put his faith and family first. And he did that every day. He leaves a legacy of passion, love, steadfast faith, and determination.
He is survived by his three children: Sydney, Cooper, and Bennett; his adoring wife, Robin; His father, Gary M Graser and wife Heidi Vallon; mother Lorraine Daly and husband Daniel Daly; brother Michael Graser and wife Annmarie and their daughters, Rita and Noelle. Gary’s in-laws, Gary and Valerie MacIntosh, and his brother-in-law Andrew MacIntosh and wife Caroline, and their children Luke and Evelyn.
Calling hours for Gary will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on Friday evening January 9th from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 11am at the Brownsville Community Church, Brownsville, VT.

Ruth M. Bushway, 92, passed away on January 5th, 2026 at The Springfield Hospital in Springfield, VT, after a long and vibrant life filled with family, friends, and music. She was born on July 30th, 1933 in Charlestown, New Hampshire to Gordon H. Bashaw, Sr. and Ida L. (Kinney) Bashaw.
Ruth grew up in Charlestown, NH and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1951. She married Robert E. (Bob) Bushway that same year and they were happily married for 65 years until Bob’s passing in 2016.
In addition to raising her two children, Ruth spent most of her adult life doing office work at a variety of local businesses including Holstein Fresien in Brattleboro, VT, Bragg Lumber in Bellows Falls, VT, Moore & Thompson Paper in Bellows Falls, VT, and finally at the
Charlestown Senior Center in Charlestown, NH. As an entrepreneur, Ruth sold Beeline Fashions, Beauty Counselor Cosmetics, and Merlite Jewelry. She also owned and operated a hotdog stand and spent 17 years as the owner of The Exotic Adventure Tanning Salon in Keene, NH.
Ruth enjoyed singing and playing drums and guitar in many area clubs. She played drums with the Dave Schroeder band and the “Halsonaires”. She later played guitar with “The Echoes” and “The Tempos” before forming a band called “Country Sunshine” with her husband and several other musicians. While working at the Charlestown Senior Center, she formed a group with musicians and singers from the center called “Silver Country”. The group performed for residents at nursing homes and in senior housing in the area.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Ida Bashaw, her husband Robert Bushway, her son Bruce Bushway, and her sister Leona Bennett.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Heidi Bushway and husband Greg Lorsbach of West Chesterfield, NH; her daughter-in-law Sherrie Withington and husband Eugene of Charlestown, NH; her brother Gordon H. Bashaw, Jr. of Charlestown, NH; her grandchildren Kaya Starbuck and husband Silas, Martin Bushway and wife Caitlan Osborn, Jennifer Bushway, and Justin Lorsbach and wife Beth; her great-grandchildren Ivy Rae Warren, Brandon Bushway, Amir and Sabirah Muhammad and Hannah and Miranda Lorsbach; her sister-in-law Irene Brown; her brothers-in-law Gordon Bushway, and Everett Bushway and wife Amy; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street in Charlestown, NH, on Monday afternoon January 12th at 2PM. Visiting hours will be held from 1PM to 2PM prior to the service. Burial will be in the spring at the Pine Crest Cemetery in Charlestown.

Martha Ladeau, known as Marty, passed away on December 25, 2025, after a long battle with health challenges. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her love of cats, camping, music, horses, and, above all, her devotion to family. Marty is survived by her husband of 57 years, Neal Ladeau; her daughters, Kathy Ladeau of Claremont, NH, and Kim Hirsch and her family of Brimfield, MA; and three cherished granddaughters, Natasha and Tabitha of Claremont, and Madison of Massachusetts, who were the light of her life.
Calling hours will be held at Stringers Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. A private burial will take place in the spring. Richard (Dick) A Landry Sr, born on January 4, 1937, in Claremont, NH, passed away on December 19, 2025, after a short illness from COVID. He was the older child of Oscar J and Alberta I (McCullough) Landry. Dick graduated from Stevens High School in 1956 and served in the Navy from July 5, 1956, through June 30, 1960. He worked at the paper mill on Sullivan Street for many years and later at Dorr Woolen Mill.

He is survived by his son, Richard A Landry Jr, daughter-in-law Angela, and two granddaughters. He also leaves behind four nieces: Michelle C Fasshauer and family of Thompson, CT; Theresa E Haggerty and family of Charlton, MA; Jean M Kirby and family of Oxford, MA; and Joanne B Grzembski and family of Webster, MA. His sister-in-law, Elsie J Tenney of Newport, NH, and brothers-in-law, Robert P Heath and Sherman C Heath of Springfield, NH, and David G Heath of Ocala, FL, also survive him. Dick's lifelong friend, Ronald Whittemore, and Ron’s daughter Debbie Whittemore, both of Claremont, NH, mourn his passing.

He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy A Landry, his parents, and his sister, Patricia E Starosta. A graveside service will be held in the spring to honor his memory.

Jeannette Marie (Gosselin) Willey, “Memere”

Jeannette passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. Born January 21, 1925, she was the daughter of Albert Gosselin and Marion (LaCasse) Gosselin.

Jeannette was predeceased by her late husband John Charles Willey. She is survived by four loving children: Cheryl Ann (Willey) Rowland, her husband Michael, and their two daughters Amelia and Jennifer; Suzanne Jean (Willey) Belcher, her husband David, and their son Samuel; Stephen Charles Willey, his daughter Tanya, and son Spencer; and Lianne Margaret (Willey) Learnard, her daughter Heather, and son Keith. Jeannette will also be missed by her four great grand children whom she adored.

Jeannette was born in Holyoke, MA and later moved to Claremont, NH where she resided for many years before moving to Holyoke, MA where she met John. They married and eventually moved to Sudbury where they raised their family.

Jeanette worked many years at Josiah Haynes Elementary School as the school Librarian and Media Aide. She loved to knit, crochet, garden, dance, sew, go to the movies, and spend time at the beach.

For many years Jeanette enjoyed her Friday morning breakfast club with colleagues and retired colleagues from the Haynes school. She is remembered by many as a smart, helpful, happy, kind, and warm soul, with a special twinkle. She loved to have “Pie on Tuesdays”; blueberry was her favorite.

Calling hours will be held Monday, December 29th, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Mary’s Church in Claremont, NH. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Marion M Schoolcraft of Claremont New Hampshire passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025 at the age of 94.
She was born on January 25, 1931 in Chittenden, Vermont the daughter of Thomas and Mildred (Lane) Hayes.
Her passion was gardening, watching over her birds, (especially the Cardinals), and her little dog of 17 years Muffett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Schoolcraft and her two sons, Philip Schoolcraft, Jr. and Michael Devino.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Schoolcraft, Frank Flannery and daughters Carol Fay, Kathy Houle, Sharon Rouille, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Paul and Terina would like to thank all the new people that came into our lives to care for Marion. A special thank you to Lori Pond (Terina’s sister) for her unselfish love, devotion and laughter that always put a smile on Marion’s face throughout the years. Cody Schoolcraft and Nicole Irish for always being there for their Mimi with love, compassion and extra support with her care. Her great grandsons, Jack and Jayden, for always entertaining and making their Mimi smile.

Andy Gersberg died unexpectedly on Monday, December 8, 2025, at his home.
Andy was born on July 20, 1962, in Wichita Falls, TX on an Air force base to Aaron and Maria Gersberg, joining two older brothers.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and oldest brother, Leonard Gersberg.
Andy is leaving behind his son, Ian Gersberg, ex-wife, Amy Gersberg, brothers, Mark Gersberg, Martin Gersberg and his wife, Debbie Gonyea, and Johnny Weeden, and his stepfather, John Weeden, and many nieces and nephews and the Goss family.
Andy graduated from Stevens High School in 1980. He did not enjoy school, but he loved baseball. He was an impressive left-handed pitcher, until an injury ruined that. Regardless, he played in the men’s softball leagues for many years. He could always be counted on to make it to base or bring someone home.
He went to work for J & L in Springfield until their closure. He then spent a year working on a road construction crew. He found a job at the Eagle Times where he became a pressman. He worked with a great group of guys and became a licensed master printer. He left printing for a few years and went to work at Dartmouth Healthcare as a maintenance/housekeeper. Eventually he went back to printing, until he couldn’t work anymore.
Andy spent many years riding his bike everywhere he went, through all kinds of weather. He loved flying around on it.
He also had a love for the sun. In the summertime, he would be found laying in the sun, at home, at the beach, or at the top of a mountain.
This is truly heartbreaking. He will be missed.
Calling hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, Claremont, NH on December 18th from 5-6PM. A blessing from the priest will be at 6PM, with an open time for others to speak.
