For the last of , we want to ensure it is known that everyone is susceptible to skin cancer.

❌ Myth: "Tan or dark-skinned people don't get skin cancer."
✅ Truth: Skin cancer doesn’t only affect light-skinned people; in fact, the skin cancer death rates are higher in darker skinned people as it is often diagnosed later, at a more advanced stage, when it's too late. People of all skin colors, including people who are African American, Hispanic, or Asian, or people who have a "base-tan" are not immune and should actively practice sun safety.

The sun will come out tomorrow… but you still need sunscreen today! This for , we debunk the belief that sun protection is not needed outside of sunny, summer days.

❌ Myth: "You don't need sun protection in the winter or on a cloudy day."
✅ Truth: You should protect your skin from UV radiation even when it is not warm or sunny. Harmful UV rays are present year-round and can reach your skin and cause damage even through clouds.

There is nothing more uncomfortable than a sunburn, right? Well, just 5 or more sunburns DOUBLES a person's risk for melanoma. Thats right, the largest risk factor of skin cancer is exposure to UV rays and a lack of sun protection. Always remember to apply that SPF year-round in correlation with protective clothing - prevention is important for everyone!
