Rogers County DAV Chapter Gains Chapter Service Officers. June 22-23 2015, the Oklahoma Department of Disabled American Veterans, held Chapter Service Officer (CSO) Certification Training, and Advanced Service Officer Re- certification Training for DAV Chapters within Oklahoma. Rogers County Chapter 44 had five returning Service Officers and seven new Service Officers. Returning CSOs were Cliff Crawford, Jim Harris, Roger Marler, C. J. Masters, and Ann Schermer. Newly trained CSOs attending were Carl Fisher, Bill Richey, Tina Smith, David Taylor, Dory Tipton, Michael Zacharias. Rodney Atkeson, a retired ODVA Service Officer was unable to attend training but has joined our forces. When all the nw Service Officers have sbeen adequately mentored and ready to assist veterans on their own, we will expand our days and hours. Currently, we wil continue to be open Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You didn't hear this when you came home from Vietnam, however you (150 Vietnam Veterans) were there when I returned home from Iraq in 2004; "Welcome Home Brothers and Sisters"!

DAV members from Rogers County Chapter #44, will have a booth set up. We have many Veterans who need our help. Last year we paid out over $13,000.00 to 86 needy Veterans and their Families. We have assisted several Homeless Veterans within Rogers County. Come by and see us. We need your donations, because we are "Veterans Helping Veterans. Help us Help more Veterans".
