For me… what we do is close to home.

Because I remember the days—not even 20, pregnant with my second baby—when I couldn’t afford diapers for my first. I remember calling my sister, asking for a small loan. Just enough for diapers and a little gas to get me to payday.

She offered what she had: a handful of pull-ups and the use of her credit card.

I accepted. And as I stood there putting gas in my car, I remember thinking:

This pattern of behavior stops with me.
I don’t know how… but it stops with me.

That moment didn’t magically fix everything. There was no instant breakthrough. Just a quiet decision made in a hard place.

And that’s why this matters to me now. Because change doesn’t usually start when things are comfortable. It starts when you’re tired of repeating the same behavior expecting different results.

If you’re in a place where you feel stuck—financially, emotionally, generationally—know this: you don’t have to have the whole plan figured out to take the first step. Awareness is a step. Saying “not like this anymore” is a step. Choosing differently, even imperfectly, is a step.

If you’ve ever had that thought—this ends with me—I see you.
And if you’re ready to take that step, even quietly, even unsure… you’re not alone.

Sometimes the bravest thing we do is decide the cycle doesn’t get to continue.
