Last week to get your votes in today, and often, for The Birches' Addams Family Scarecrow! SHARE with friends/family to do the same! Our residents and team members worked hard to make their annual scarecrow extra special this year! Every vote counts, and the residents want to hold their 1st place title! Resident Kathy thoroughly enjoyed making Wednesday's doll with lots of laughter coming from her neighbors as she sewn it together the right way! Our Birches' Annual Trick or Treating event is tomorrow for our friends and families! We hope you can join us for this festive event with special visit from the Windy City Ghostbusters! Our members are excited to pack the Ghostbuster trunk with all the Toys we collected for La Rabida Children's Hospital and love seeing all the kids and their costumes!

Our Members had a fun time seeing their Addam’s Family scarecrow out in the wild! We drove up and down Cass Avenue in Village of Westmont, Government looking at the other scarecrows as we went by! We then, parked the bus and walked over to our scarecrow for a photo located near Nature's Best! Lil and Suzanne were the only two brave enough to go up to the family and check in to see how they are doing out there even though we had a full bus of members! Make sure to get your vote in today, and vote often, for The Birches' Scarecrow! They are holding up well!

Fall fun meets Montessori magic!

This week, a few of the ladies embraced Montessori-inspired creativity to craft their very own Cottagecore Ghosts—a whimsical way to add some homemade charm to their fall décor!

With hands-on learning, plenty of laughter, and a spirit of exploration, the ghosts came to life. From Beverly’s delightfully named ghost “Lumpy” to Blanche’s ghost with a little “extra junk in the trunk,” trial and error turned into treasured memories!

Montessori techniques encourage curiosity, personalization, and learning through doing—and the joy of trying something new made this activity extra special. Now their charming ghosts are out spreading spooky cheer for all the neighbors to enjoy!
