In honor of , our team enjoyed a little burst of fun and positivity! We handed out a variety of colorful stickers for staff to enjoy during a wellโdeserved break. It was a simple way to step away, recharge, and pick out a sticker (or two!) to wear throughout the day.
Nothing like a small moment of joy to keep the positivity flowing all shift long.

Join us in congratulating Morgan C. on her promotion to Assistant Director of Intake! Morgan has been a valued member of the Intake Department since February 2025 and is excited to step into her new leadership role. โI feel that this role allows me to step into a leadership position for CPC and make even more of a difference for our patients, the staff and the facility,โ she shares.
Morgan was initially drawn to psychology during nursing school but it wasnโt until working in Intake at Clarion Psychiatric Center (CPC) that she truly understood the profound importance of mental health. She loves the strong sense of community at CPC and appreciates working alongside colleagues from diverse backgrounds who all contribute to exceptional patient care. Sheโs always felt welcomed and supported by her teammates and peers.
Outside of work, Morgan enjoys staying active at the gym, getting lost in a good book, walking her dogs and playing pickleball. Congratulations, Morgan and best wishes as you begin this exciting new chapter!

, Weโre excited to warmly welcome Mark D., our new Director of Risk Management at Clarion Psychiatric Center. Though new to the CPC family as of December 8, 2025, Mark brings a wealth of experience from his 11 years at Abraxas in Marienville. Starting fresh out of college as a life skills worker, he steadily advanced through the ranks to Supervisor, Manager, and ultimately served as Executive Director before joining the CPC family.
A native of Clarion County, Mark earned his degree from Penn West Clarion. He now lives in Shippenville with his wife Lara, their lively three-year-old son Ridge, and one-year-old daughter Hunter. The family is joyfully expecting their third child in May! Rounding out their household are two beloved cockapoos, Hampton and Belle.
Markโs passion for the outdoors shines bright. Whether hunting deer or bear, fishing, hiking, biking, or playing sports with his family, he embraces an active lifestyle. Fun fact: Mark played college football and continues to maintain his fitness through weightlifting and running. His dream vacation? Planning a hunting trip out West or up to Canada.
His first job was as a farm hand at Zacherlโs Farm, where he learned the true meaning of hard work and punctuality by doing a little bit of everything.
Over the past year, Mark has deepened his leadership skills by reading John Maxwell books, practicing meditation, and staying calm during crises involving staff and patients. Heโs honed his decision-making abilities and built a reputation for being levelheaded when pressure is high. Mark contributes to a positive work environment by approaching challenges as a problem solver, avoiding overthinking, and focusing on simple, effective solutions. He truly enjoys helping others, being a team player, and pitching in wherever needed.
Please join us in giving Mark a warm welcome to the CPC family! ๐

It's the season of giving, and our CPC team came together in a big way! Thanks to the generosity of our staff, we collected bins of gifts for our local teens in collaboration with our community partner Jacqueline Griebel from the Clarion Kindness Project. Also, we decorated and sponsored a tree at the Clarion Mall to help raise funds for the gifts.

It's , meet Kaaliyah, MHT at CPC since July of 2025. Kaaliyah states that her job is very rewarding and I did not realize the impact she could make. "Working at CPC has changed my outlook on stigma surrounding mental health and psychiatric hospitalsโ. In the past year she has learned through her work that mental illness can present in so many different ways.
Kaaliyah is currently in school studying biology and criminal justice with a minor in psychology. She would like to become a forensic science technician. Kaaliyah states, โI want to make a differenceโ and said one day she would like to do something to help the homeless population.
On a day off you can find Kaaliyah catching up on sleep, spending time with friends, or playing video games (her favorite is Dead by Daylight). You may also catch her eating her favorite sweet treat, strawberry ice cream.
Kaaliyah contributes to a positive work culture by greeting people with a hello and a smile and wants people to know that they can rely on her to get the job done. It is important to Kaaliya to contribute to a teamwork dynamic and let people know that it is ok to have a bad day and that she is always willing to step in and help.
What her peers had to say:
๐ She is very much a team player. She never stops when she is here working.
๐ She has a good work ethic and is kind, intelligent and does whatever is asked of her. Patients respond to her well and are always excited to see her.
๐ She is wonderful, kind, helpful and respectful. She goes out of her way to help staff and patients.
Thank you for bringing your smile and positive energy to CPC! ๐
