My wife and I absolutely love supporting our local public library when they have a book sale. That is where this book came from. On this particular day, we were in a hurry. Normally, I would take the time to vet books a little more thoroughly, but this particular day was very grab books throw them in the bag and onto the next. So I 100% judge this book by its cover. The cover itself looks very inviting. Just judging by the title, it reminds me of books written by S.N. Goenka. One of the grandfathers of spreading the teachings of meditation practiced in the traditional Buddhist teaching. Teachings originally taught by the Buddha Siddhartha Gautama. That is not what this book is about. When I sat down to read this book, it became quickly clear to me that it was written by a man who practices a form of religion that I normally wouldn’t seek out teachings from. So very quickly into this book I wanted to just simply close it and not finish it. There’s nothing wrong with this sect of religion. I just wasn’t raised in it like others. But then I had the thought “you know Dan? That’s not very open-minded of you. That’s coming from a place of a closed off heart.”
Being an individual who doesn’t believe in coincidences I thought that there was a reason why this book came to be into my possession. Even though this isn’t a book I would normally reach for there was a reason why it found its way into my life. I’m glad I not only finished this but, but I over all I enjoyed this book. The biggest take away would be the teachings on passive patience.
What I found most interesting was how the teachings of passive patience has been taught in pretty much every sector of spiritual teachings or organized religion. That was the biggest take away from this book. The philosophical teachings amongst religious/ spiritual schools of thought. An important reminder why it’s important to keep an open mind, heart, and to recognize the similarities human beings share with one another.

Friday was an off day for me. Over the years, I’ve learned different tools to lean on when that happens, but this time my anxiety was high from the moment I woke up. I had no shows, cancellations, and no amount of positive affirmations or deep breathing seemed to help.
Thankfully, Christine had an opening and was able to get me in. From the moment I walked in, her calming presence and inviting atmosphere immediately helped lift some of the weight I was carrying in my chest and shoulders.
What she offers goes far beyond a relaxing scalp massage. Christine has a true gift for guiding you back to the present moment — away from worries about the future or stress from the past. She gently helps you reprogram your nervous system, shifting you out of fight-or-flight mode and into a state of rest and restoration.
The difference is something you can feel in real time. Your heart rate slows. Your breathing deepens. The tightness in your muscles gradually releases. It’s not just a temporary sense of relaxation — the benefits linger long after the session ends. I left feeling clear-headed, grounded, and able to respond to life from a place of calm and composure.
I’m so grateful for the session I had with Christine and truly look forward to working with her again. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing both physical relaxation and a mental reset.

Finally had the chance to support and oh my goodness was it delicious! No, I did not eat everything at once. But I very easily could have. The creativity, thought, passion and freshness of ingredients from that goes into every one of these menu items is incredible. The entire family loved them all and we already can’t wait to go back.

My favorite areas to work on are the neck and shoulders. These are also the two areas where most hairstylists carry the most tightness and tension. If you’re a hairstylist, consider treating yourself to a massage—so you can continue showing up at your best for your clients.
