Honestly, my eyes are a bit wet typing this up but at the same time I am not a bit surprised that our Megan Oswald has passed her exam. Five years ago she walked into my little clinic and told me the big dreams she had and well… we made them happen.

She has spent hours surviving the community, hours in coursework hours being mentored, and hours working on her child’s own latch determined to have the journey she deserved with her last baby.

When she came back from maternity leave, she set a goal and absolutely smashed it while having three littles at home and a full caseload in the clinic.

Megan, I am SO proud of you and I have no doubts you will be the absolute best IBCLC. Families of NEPA and all referring providers are SO lucky to have you to turn to.

But seriously, we want to make a greater impact here in NEPA, in Bucks, and as we expand in Colorado and our wish list is BIG. We need collaboration and connection with providers that you all see on a regular basis. These providers are the leaders of your care and one of the biggest strengths of good leaders is delegating or in this case, referring out to bring the BEST possible care to YOU, your babies, or your children.

Oo a trend about stupid lines? I’m in. I am pretty sure I could make 30 of these and still have plenty on a list.

Yeah the
• reflux
• colic symptoms
• torticollis
• inability to sit comfortably in the car seat
• recurrent ear infections

has nothinnnnnggg to do with how the tongue is moving and grooving 🙄 and of courrrseeeeee they will ‘ grow out of it’.

When really, they grow right into it. They grow into the 8 year old needed expansion, the 18 year old with sever jaw pain, and the 45 year old who snores like a chainsaw .

The year was 2021.

I had just opened Lingua in 2020 and our first little location in Kingston, PA in summer of 2021 was thriving.

I had two amazing clinicians join us and then my world crumbled, truly, because all of a sudden the wedding that was 3 weeks away was no more.

I left my partner of 6 years, my dogs, the home I owned and NEPA ( for the 2nd time ).

But, I couldn’t leave Lingua.

Instead, I nourished it.

Slowly, but I did. I made connections, I mentored our clinicians, I ran events, I saw patients virtually and in Bucks County. Then in Lehigh Valley when I moved there. Finally, I returned to NEPA. And built it up brick by brick, location by location, mistake by mistake, and success by success.

Now both Lingua and my personal life it is better than I could have dreamed of. It didn’t fall apart. It fell together.

Here we are 4 years later from hearing that little voice of doubt and I am so glad I have selective hearing 😉

Beginning January 2026, Lingua Speech Swallow & Voice Services will host a series of community-rooted events—facilitated by Dare to Wonder—that foster connection across generations. From infants to elders, caregivers to clinicians, we’re creating space for curiosity, collaboration, and care.

Local businesses, partners, and families are invited to grow with us—because wonder belongs to everyone. 💛

🚽💔 Third time’s not the charm…

Our clinic toilet has officially joined the “Wipe Out” club—thanks to another flushed baby wipe.

We love our community, but our plumbing does not love wipes, towels, or anything that isn’t TP. We had to cancel a whole day of caring for you all because of this issue and we do not want to slow your progress!

Please help us keep the bathroom flowing freely—use the trash can, not the toilet!

Let’s make this the last toilet tragedy. 🙏
