Testimonial Tuesday! Bestie Edition!

Our Story
Throughout our almost 35-year friendship, we have been on plenty of adventures! However, with all that we besties have done together throughout the years, there was one thing we did not do together, and that was exercise together! Why you might ask? Well, we are glad you did:-). For these three decades of comradery, I nudged, pushed, and attempted to influence my Bestie, Janine, to get on the fitness train I so knew and loved; however, Janine would always tell me that she hated exercise and it was not her “thing.” Fortunately, for both of us, that all changed on the evening of Janine’s birthday celebration this past May when I mentioned to Janine that I really needed to change up my fitness routine because I felt I had hit a wall and was struggling to stay motivated at the gym. She listened to me, as a best friend would, tell her about some research I did on Body Blueprint Personal Training Company and their unique approach to fitness and overall health. I thought our discussion regarding BBP would end there as usual, but to my great surprise, my Bestie, yes, the one who HATED exercise, was impressed enough with BBP that she actually took the initiative to sign us up to start training for the Summer. If you know Janine, you know this was a HUGE step for her, and I am truly grateful she took this leap and challenged the both of us to change things up! Fast forward to January and we are now members at BBP and LOVING it!

I have always been committed to exercise and considered myself to be rather healthy. I have been a member of various gyms in our area for many years. I would go to the gym daily, but would often get bored of my routine and having to decide what exercises to plan for that day. I used several workout programs. With that being said, cardio was my regular physical activity, along with doing some weight machines a few times a week, and taking some exercise classes. As time went by, I felt myself struggling to stay motivated and knew I needed a change of environment to overcome my boredom and remain consistent with exercise. When I joined BBP that change was instantaneous! For the first time, physical fitness actually became challenging to me, in the best way possible! I never have to think or plan my daily exercise routine because it is already customized by a personal trainer who works directly alongside me in small groups coaching and pushing me beyond what I thought I could handle! I have regained my strength and confidence and developed a sense of accountability. It is never boring! I love the atmosphere and the people! I honestly look forward to coming to a gym where everyone wants everyone else to succeed and become the best version of themselves. I was never much of a fitness buff and have suffered allergies and food sensitivities that have wreaked havoc for many years. I never felt “good” and was always tired. This effort, with the supports of the BBP coaches, has been so beneficial in understanding food more, my body’s needs, and how strong I really can be. “I feel more motivated than ever thanks to the BBP family and of course my Ride or Die Shannon.”
We both want to THANK YOU BBP, for together, we have grown in our knowledge of fitness and gained a new level of respect and appreciation as we take on more challenges and explore our newfound strengths.
