As many of you all know by now in January of 2021, we relocated from Maryland to Northeast PA and settled in Clarks Summit. While I settled into my new home here, COVID afforded me the opportunity to continue to work in Maryland seeing clients and teaching. With COVID restrictions lifting these past few months, I have had to slowly let go of my work in Maryland. The Yoga for Stroke Program at BWMC returned to in person classes and is now in the capable hands of Webra and Paula. I held onto my work at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) for as long as I could but the commute to Maryland and hotel stays were difficult on my home life and I have been feeling the need to develop “my community” here, in Clarks Summit. About a month ago, I listened to my gut and stepped down from my full-time work at MUIH and returned to adjunct status. It was not an easy decision as I love my work, the people I work with and my students, but I knew in my heart it was time. These last few weeks have been a virtual whirlwind of closing a “chapter”, but there have been several new beginnings and new opportunities that have been birthed simply by creating space. I will have lots more to share throughout the summer including yoga therapy opportunities, new classes, continuing education opportunities, academia, research and mentoring as well as some great fishing photos and vacations.
