Friday was an off day for me. Over the years, I’ve learned different tools to lean on when that happens, but this time my anxiety was high from the moment I woke up. I had no shows, cancellations, and no amount of positive affirmations or deep breathing seemed to help.
Thankfully, Christine had an opening and was able to get me in. From the moment I walked in, her calming presence and inviting atmosphere immediately helped lift some of the weight I was carrying in my chest and shoulders.
What she offers goes far beyond a relaxing scalp massage. Christine has a true gift for guiding you back to the present moment — away from worries about the future or stress from the past. She gently helps you reprogram your nervous system, shifting you out of fight-or-flight mode and into a state of rest and restoration.
The difference is something you can feel in real time. Your heart rate slows. Your breathing deepens. The tightness in your muscles gradually releases. It’s not just a temporary sense of relaxation — the benefits linger long after the session ends. I left feeling clear-headed, grounded, and able to respond to life from a place of calm and composure.
I’m so grateful for the session I had with Christine and truly look forward to working with her again. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing both physical relaxation and a mental reset.

Finally had the chance to support and oh my goodness was it delicious! No, I did not eat everything at once. But I very easily could have. The creativity, thought, passion and freshness of ingredients from that goes into every one of these menu items is incredible. The entire family loved them all and we already can’t wait to go back.

Grateful to start my day off with a delicious cup of coffee.

My favorite areas to work on are the neck and shoulders. These are also the two areas where most hairstylists carry the most tightness and tension. If you’re a hairstylist, consider treating yourself to a massage—so you can continue showing up at your best for your clients.

The other day I had the opportunity to sit down with a fellow, like-minded business owner in the health and wellness space. Our conversation quickly turned to everything happening in the world right now. Politics aside, it can feel like a heavy, uncertain time. Some days leave you feeling defeated, hopeless, isolated, or just plain overwhelmed.
We found ourselves asking the same question:
How do we keep ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually strong so we can truly show up for our clients — and just as importantly, for ourselves?
The truth is, we all have off days. We’re human. We’re all capable of carrying stress or negative energy into our interactions, often without realizing the ripple effect it can have. And right now, so many people are navigating that weight in their own quiet ways.
The theme we kept coming back to was simple: do the work.
Whether that looks like prayer, meditation, moving your body, putting down your phone to read, journaling, or any form of intentional self-care — it matters. Now more than ever, these daily practices are what help keep us grounded and aligned. They help us stay on the path of positivity when it would be easier to drift.
And just as important? Staying connected to community. Surrounding yourself with people who are striving for growth, healing, and something bigger than themselves.
I walked away from that conversation feeling recharged. It’s powerful to feel seen, heard, and validated.
If you’re reading this, please know you are not alone. There are others in this community walking alongside you — people who care, who are doing the work, and who believe in showing up better each day.
And that gives me hope.

One goal I set for myself this year is to get back into reading more. The month of January I finished my first book of the year. Like any healthy habit momentum will be built and I hope to read more as the year progresses. My first book of the year was The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practice by Deborah Adele, and it gave me a lot to reflect on. I appreciated how the book takes yoga beyond the physical practice and gently brings the focus back to how we live, speak, and show up in the world.
Each chapter explores one of the ten ethical principles of yoga in a way that feels honest and relatable. Rather than feeling academic or overwhelming, the teachings are shared through stories and reflections that made me pause and consider my own habits and patterns—especially around things like truthfulness, contentment, and self-discipline.
What stood out most to me is how practical the book feels. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about becoming more aware and intentional. If you’re interested in deepening your yoga practice off the mat or doing some meaningful self-inquiry, this is a book I’d recommend.

It’s always a delicious time at My wife and I had the opportunity of eating here again a few weeks ago. To say I’ve been daydreaming of said meal everyday since then would be an understatement! I love chicken and waffles. Hands down this is the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The chicken is crunchy on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. The waffles are sweet and delicious! Can’t wait to go back for this dish. The focaccia bread was made in house and delicious! Paired amazingly well with the mozzarella, arugula, and balsamic dressing. Probably my favorite place we’ve ate it so far. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Hats off to the chefs, and everyone on staff. They were all so friendly and professional. Wonderful experience every time!
