🌱 Students Serving in North Central West Virginia 🌱
We were honored to welcome students from the SEEDS Program at the University of Richmond to Health Access Free Clinic this week as part of their service-learning trip to Appalachia.
While visiting, the students learned about our clinic from Patient Care Coordinator, Kim Morrison, helped build new garden boxes for our Learning Garden and had the opportunity to assist during glasses dispensing day for patients from our recent eye screening.
They also heard from our friends Rebecca Coakley and Lisa Dudley from the WVU Eye Institute about how the Appalachian Vision Outreach Program and Children’s Vision Rehabilitation Program are helping restore sight and change lives across West Virginia.
Thank you to these students for spending part of their spring break serving our community. We’re grateful for your help and can't wait until our next visit.
