This prestigious honor, presented by the HTM National Program Office during Healthcare Technology Management Week, recognizes Team Clarksburg’s outstanding excellence in biomedical and healthcare technology management.

The team ensures the safe, effective, and continuous operation of all medical equipment across the medical center, overseeing the entire lifecycle of clinical devices, from procurement and cybersecurity assessments to maintenance and decommissioning. Clarksburg stood out among all VA medical centers for consistent performance in key metrics, thoughtful engagement with clinical customers, active community involvement, and a strong partnership with West Virginia University.

Riders of the 2026 National Veterans Awareness Ride (NVAR) made their annual visit to the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center on Thursday, May 21, 2026. The visit has become a yearly tradition that Veterans and employees of the medical center eagerly await. The stop in Clarksburg is one of the final legs of the riders’ journey prior to reaching their destination of Washington, D.C., for Memorial Day weekend, where they will visit the Vietnam Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
