My name is Marquita Spivey, and my journey to founding Amazing Grace On Call Health Services, LLC is deeply personal. As a single mother of two incredible sons, I have dedicated my life to the healthcare field, working tirelessly from the age of 17 to earn my Master’s in Healthcare Administration. Despite facing unimaginable hardships—including the loss of my parents, homelessness, and severe health challenges—I have always held onto hope. My experiences as both a caregiver and a patient have shaped my passion for healthcare and my unwavering belief that every individual deserves quality, compassionate care. It is this belief that has led me to take a leap of faith and start my own home health care service, dedicated to providing the level of care and respect that every patient deserves. My personal health struggles—including Sickle Cell disease, lymphedema, heart failure, and multiple strokes—have given me firsthand experience of what it means to depend on home health care. Unfortunately, I learned that many caregivers treat patients as just another number, rather than a person in need of dignity and compassion. Idette Brumbaugh, a dedicated wound care nurse and business owner, not only provided exceptional care but also saw potential in me when I was at my lowest. She inspired me to believe that my disabilities did not have to define my future. With the support of my On Call Healthcare team, I found the courage to turn my experiences into something meaningful—to create a healthcare company where patients feel valued, and caregivers are empowered to provide the best possible care.
