I want to take a moment this week to talk about something that is too important to assume…
Salvation.

Not church attendance.
Not believing in God.
Not being a “good person.”

✝️ A personal decision to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

I was a Christian for 44 years…
And I had never fully understood what it meant to be born again.

That’s why I don’t take this lightly.

And I don’t want anyone to assume they’ve taken that step… without truly knowing.

So I created a simple page on the Day One of Sobriety website that walks through:
🤍 What salvation really means
🤍 What it means to be born again
🤍 And how to make that decision with clarity and confidence

Whether this is for you personally…
Or for someone God places in your life…

🛟 I want you to have this resource.

Take a few minutes this week and read through it.
And if you’re willing…
💬 let us know you visited.
💬 or share how this helped you think differently about salvation.

This is the foundation of everything we’re building here.

Get ready for Podcast EP44 this week!!! Royalty is in your DNA because of what Jesus did on the cross! You need to renew your mind so that your thinking matches your new identity. Have you watched the Princess Diaries? There’s a similarity in this story to yours!

God said in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before you were formed in your mother’s womb I knew you. Before you were born I consecrated you and set you apart.” God was saying, “Before you showed up on this earth, I already knew everything about you.

1 Peter 2:9 tells us, “…you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Sometimes people aren’t looking for a sermon…
they’re just looking for hope.

Maybe that’s you today.
Or maybe it’s someone you love.

Someone who feels:
• tired
• stuck
• unsure if they still matter
• wondering if they’ve gone too far

I want to gently remind you of something powerful:

You don’t have to clean yourself up to come to God.
You don’t have to earn His love.
You don’t have to prove your worth.

Because of Jesus…
the door is already open.

Grace made a way.
Mercy held back what you deserved.
And love is inviting you in—just as you are.

🎧 I just released a new episode on the Day One of Sobriety Podcast:
“It Is Finished: How Jesus Opened the Door to Grace, Identity, and New Life”

If you’ve been feeling stuck in shame, striving, or searching for something more…
this message is for you.

And as we move toward Easter…

This is one of the easiest times of the year to reach out.

💛 Share this post on your page
💛 Send this episode to someone who’s been on your heart
💛 Invite someone to come to church with you this Sunday

And if you haven’t been to church in a while…
consider this your invitation too.

You are not behind.
You are not disqualified.
You are still welcome.

Sometimes one simple invitation…
is all it takes for someone to encounter Jesus.

💥 NEW EPISODE 💥

There’s a reason your brain keeps going back to “I need to do more.”

It’s not because you don’t love God.

It’s because your brain has been trained in a world that rewards performance.

So when you come to God, it feels natural to think:
“I need to earn this.”

But the cross changed that.

God’s grace doesn’t respond to performance.
It invites you to receive.

And your brain has to learn a new pattern.

👉 From striving… to receiving
👉 From earning… to accepting
👉 From proving… to belonging

That’s mind renewal.
And it’s a process.

What’s one area of your life where you still feel like you have to “earn” something from God?

Have you ever felt like you’re trying to do everything right…
and still feel a quiet pressure inside?

Like you’re checking the boxes… praying, growing, showing up…
but something still feels unsettled?

Not because you don’t love God.
But because somewhere along the way…
faith started to feel like something you have to manage instead of a place you can rest.

This week on the podcast, we’re talking about a shift that changes everything:

What if you were never meant to strive for belonging…
but to live from it?

So many of us are carrying pressure God never asked us to carry.

Trying to prove.
Trying to get it right.
Trying to stay “on track.”

But when you begin to understand who you already are in Christ…

👉 striving starts to loosen
👉 peace starts to settle
👉 and your mind begins to rest

This conversation is gentle… but it’s powerful.

And it might be exactly what your heart has been needing.

👇 Tell me in the comments:
Where do you feel pressure in your life right now?

Knowledge builds you up - application transforms you!

Spirit-Led Process: Transformation is not achieved through personal strength but through the power of the Holy Spirit working within.

Renewal of the Mind: As Romans 12:2 states, transformation begins with renewing your mind to align with God’s perspective rather than the world's patterns.

Sanctification (Lifelong Journey): It is a continuous process (sanctification) rather than an instant event, often involving overcoming obstacles and letting go of old habits. (CS Lewis)

💥 NEW EPISODE RELEASE 💥
Some thoughts don’t just visit… they move in.

They sound like:
“I’ll never change.”
“I always mess this up.”
“I’m too far gone.”

And after a while, they stop feeling like thoughts…
they feel like truth.

But Scripture calls those patterns something very specific:
Strongholds.

Not something scary.
Not something mystical.

Just well-worn paths of thinking that don’t agree with what God says about you.

And here’s the good news…

If a path was formed…
it can be unformed.

And a new one can take its place.

That’s not just spiritual truth.
That’s how your brain actually works.

So today isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about becoming aware.

What’s one thought that has been on repeat lately?
👇 Share one thought you’ve noticed showing up on autopilot this week.
