Located in Clarkston, New Heights Assisted Living is a 6 bed Adult Foster Care home which provides long term, 24-hour care for the aged.

Our facility offers residency to individuals who are aged, who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, along with others who are in need of 24 hour assistance. Nutritious meals and snacks will be provided according to recommended dietary standards, and staff will provide assistance with basic daily living skills as needed. Residents will receive assistance with medications, including administration, acquiring re-fills, monitoring for possible side-effects and keeping a medication log. We have daily activities to stimulate memory, physical and mental strength, and provide interactive daily living where the resident’s will feel comfortable and cared for. In addition, we seek to engage the community in the home as well as opportunities for the residents to engage in local festivities. We work to create a stimulating environment to help our residents continue to grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Trained staffing will be available at all times to assure our residents safety and that they receive the best care and assistance possible to meet their needs.

We’ve been taking our time looking for just the right caregiver to complete our team. We hire very carefully in order to find just the right one who shares in our unique mission of celebrating every day with our seniors and providing meaning and quality of living to their lives.

Job Details:
•Two-three 12-hour shifts weekly (flexibility on two or three)
•Previous experience in the caregiving field
•Ability to confidently care for 6 seniored individuals in our licensed home-like setting
•Shares in our mission to give quality care and purposeful living each and every day!

We’ve been having fun with our Fall/Winter crafting, Fallon’s homemade pancake breakfast with her special brown sugar butter syrup, Steve’s freshly made pomegranate juice, work outs, Jenny’s cookie decorating class, and spending time with good friends!

We celebrated National I love Lucy week last week! We watched some of Lucy’s greatest scenes like the Chocolate Factory episode, the too much yeast in the bread dough episode and when she took ballet lessons! After some good laughs, we learned some interesting facts about her and the show. Did you know she was the first pregnant woman to appear on TV?

Happy Halloween from your New Heights family! 🎃

Our Annie, Midge, Linda, Steve and Serena made a Halloween "banner" to hang in our living room, followed by exercises as a crew! Phyllis even joined right in after her PT to do a second round of work outs! We were so impressed! Afterwards, we played the game together, What Do You Meme, which gave us some goods laughs! A great day!
