To provide pain and tension relief unique to your body.
Exhale Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, LLC is solely dedicated to improving and supporting our client's health and wellness the natural way. With over 11 years of knowledge and continuing education, we pride ourselves on a more clinical approach to massage. We strive to create each session as unique as the client on the table.
A âfull bodyâ approach is relaxing and all, but sometimes dealing with pain requires a much more specific angle, which is why we prefer to work the problem out first while shying away from a general full body massage. We reserve that for the maintenance phase when the pain has gone or is very little.
With more than 26 million people between the ages of 20 and 64 having chronic back pain and more than 25 million having migraines, itâs no secret how pain negatively impacts our everyday living. We succumb to it like a fly to a bug zapper. Itâs palpable and sometimes physically noticeable in everyone we see. Look around. People are walking around hunched, leaning forward with stuck shoulders and craned necks, unbalanced while favoring one side of the body, permanently held captive to what they consider their ânormalâ shape. The truth is, being a prisoner of pain isnât normal. So what do we do about the pain? Naturally, we spend thousands of dollars in many doctor visits trying to âfixâ it or even gain an ounce of relief. According to a study provided by the American Pain Society (yes, itâs a real association) in 2012 written by health economists from Johnâs Hopkins University, the annual cost of chronic pain was as high as $635 billion per year. Thatâs not even including the fact that pain leads to missed time from work. To be exact (from the same study), $229-$334 billion annually. Thatâs crazy! Itâs also been proven that chronic pain can lead to chronic depression, weâd rather not look up the annual cost for that. I believe we have made a pretty clear point. And this study was back in 2012, imagine what these statistics are today. We havenât looked to honest (were a little scarred to), but with the advances massage is making we hope those stats are plummeting, or at least heading in that direction.
