Polysubstance abuse -- What are the effects? What can it do to your body? How do you help someone you believe has overdosed?

Majority of people now know someone that uses drugs prescribed or not prescribed inappropriately. Narcan (nalaxone) is now available OTC to be able to help someone that has overdosed. If you have a friend or family member that has issues with use of drugs, it does not hurt to keep it on hand. It may save their life one day. Of course, we also recommend trying to get the person to get HELP. There are many substance abuse programs in the area.
