In case anyone is wondering how the injured & sick cat who wobbled into the garage one day is doing…. He is living his best life being a menace taking over my drying dandelions 👻

He loves his new indoor life. Every once and a while if everyone is outside without him he will dart out the door, get a few feet before he realizes he’s outside, and goes flat waiting for someone to pick him up 😂

Although dandelions will be around for quite some time, they usually aren’t going to be as abundant as they are right now. Harvest them while you can 🖤

They are one of the easiest things to dry out to store & have on hand for future use AND they’re completely free

I get asked a lot of questions when it comes to drying your own fruit to store for simmer pots.

Whether you are using an oven or a dehydrator, you can dry a variety of fruits at the same time. Here are a few tips I've learned along the way:
👉strawberries dry the fastest
🖤lemons need a lower temperature because they will burn (brown/darken) at a higher temperature
👻you should poke a hole in each cranberry or it will take FOREVER to dry
🥰 even if you are using a dehydrator you should still be pat drying the fruit to help take out of some of the moisture & it will significantly cut down the drying time
