Tips for if you lose power. You can expand upon the one room rule by pitching a tent in said room to keep the body heat in, and improve warmth. Tents can improve ambient heat 5-10 degrees F.

UPDATE: RFDs # 1, 4, 5, and 8 also plan to be available as warming centers for those in need- citizens urged to contact non emergency dispatch at (479) 774-6911 if they need to utilize the RFDs. Also please contact dispatch if you need a ride to any facility.

In anticipation of upcoming winter weather, the Johnson County Judge's Office, in coordination with the City of Clarksville, Johnson County Department of Emergency Management, and Safe Haven would like to announce warming center information. Also, please note any inclement weather closings will be announced on this page.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, traffic conditions are expected to be challenging on Saturday and potentially into early next week.

As a result, we will provide tele-health and virtual visits by APPOINTMENT ONLY on adverse weather days. Call or text the clinic at 479-774-6945.

Here’s where the heaviest snow will fall tonight and tomorrow.

This doesn’t include the ice accumulation which will cause power outages across the south.

The ripple effects from this storm will run well into next week with school closures, cancellations and travel delays due to the extreme cold with this system.
