Whether a referral is needed to see an OMS can depend on your insurance or the specific OMS office’s policies. Follow these steps to schedule your consultation:

- Review your insurance policy to determine whether a referral is needed.
- Contact your insurance provider with any questions.
- Find an OMS in your area at MyOMS.org.
- Contact the OMS office with any questions, including whether a referral is required for an appointment.
- If a referral is necessary prior to consultation, discuss your situation with your dentist or physician to obtain the requested referral.
- Schedule the surgery consultation with the OMS.
