independent A.H.A. Instructors are needed 2026 is your year. Special ($450) UNTIL MARCH 1 2026.You will be able to teach First Aid, Basic Life Support(BLS) and/or Heartsaver. Teach nurses ,daycares, organizations, hospitals ,sitters, families and more the skills in saving lives. To become a A.H.A. independent instructor please read the list below..

There are some things you will need to do before you attend the 8 to 9 hour training course.
1.Request application by phone or email
2. Take a BLS full course (AHA certificate) or have your ecard that is current. If you need this class let us know. It is normally $85 but we will do it for $65 for instructors and provide the book.
3. Take the BLS INSTRUCTOR ESSENTIAL Course. Go to www.elearning.heart.org. It is $34.00
3. All 2020 UPDATES for BLS and Heartsaver Certificates. Updates are free
4. 2020 Heartsaver Instructor Essential course must be done before you can do this class. Recommend to go ahead and do the course
5.EMAIL all certificates with your driver's license. If it is more then 1 person taking the same course please send emails of certificates under that person name and personal email in separate emails.
Once completed. Call 615 856 6670 to set up your class for your instructor course.(subject to change based on need). This is a 8 to 9 hour course.
The cost is between $550 to $700 depending on location, travel fees and taxes will be added. This fee does not included any online courses needed in order to do the instructor course.
Requirements for instructors:
This does not include any equipment you will need for your instructor training needs. A full kit cost $550 -$725(depending if books and ecards are purchase). it includes everything you need for your first 50 people. all kits include the following:
-NEW INSTRUCTOR STARTER KIT Recommend to have for the instructor 8 to 9 hour course.
THE INSTRUCTOR STARTER KIT INCLUDES:
1 Adult 1 Child 1 Infant AED Trainer Ambu Bag Adult Ambu Bag Infant
10 Pocket mask Adult 10 Infant Pocket Mask 50 one way valves.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE (8 TO 9 HOURS):

-Farther Education
Will need to bring a laptop or tablet to class.

Faculty and Organization recommendations:
Amazing Grace CPR is an independent family own business through American Heart and Red Cross. These are just recommendations over the years that have helped maintain instructors that work for the company that the company paid for the training. All instructors are independent contractors. Organizations that pay for instructor for their gain are recommended to make their own contract for the employee(s)that are picked to go through the program. The instructor will be responsible to follow all AHA and or Red Cross guidelines, updates and training.
-If you are going to pay for the training you will need to set up your own contract with your employes that you are going to assign to teach the classes.
-Faculty is responsible on how the payment will be done with the employee assigned for the trainer position.
-Recommend that at least 2 are trained in this position
-Recommend that the renewal or heart code training be used depending on your funding please talk to the Training Site for more information on what is best for your organization
- Recommend a contract with the employee that the organization pays to become a trainer
