We are still collecting BTS items until Thursday of this week. On Friday residents with gather to assemble the backpacks which will be available to staff (limited quantity/2 per family) on Saturday. A portion of the backpacks will be donated to YAIPAK for distribution in the community. This shared mission is important to our residents as it brings a sense of purpose and appreciation to their day.

Our first official fundraiser of the season for Team Spring Meadows! If you would like to treat your favorite staff member to some casual days at work let someone in activities know! One of the MANY interactive projects this month at Spring Meadows is the "Where Have You Been" map hanging in the front hallway. Residents and staff are invited to place stars in the states that they have visited (must have visited -NOT an airport layover!) It will be interesting to see if we cover all 50 states!

The 2nd part of the project is to see if we can get postcards from all 50 states! If you're still vacationing this August or have friends or relatives in other states - ask them to send a postcard to our residents! We will take duplicates!

Our first postcard is a vintage FL postcard (actually mailed from family in VA) and we can't wait to start decorating our board with stars and postcards!

MERRY CHRISTMAS IN JULY!
As part of our celebration here at Spring Meadows, we had a "Christmas Tree" scavenger hunt and a prize drawing for employees who wore a little "jingle" last week. We pulled the winners and here they are! Miss Shanice in therapy and Miss Kimberly in dietary! THANK YOU TO EVERY EMPLOYEE WHO PARTICIPATED! Stay tuned for Wizard of Oz events next month! There will be more prizes!
