What a way to wrap up our Saturday!
Spent the afternoon soaking in the incredible tunes and a few jokes of the one and only Alan Goins. 🎶 🎼
It was unforgettable vibe, and I'm so grateful for the good times and great company. Can't wait for the next one to come the 1st Saturday of each month.

🔥 Still as Hot as ever at Uffelman Estates 🔥

As the week winds down and the heat outside cools to a perfect, comfortable vibe, we're still keeping the energy HOT at Uffelman's! 🌞
We kicked off August by trying something new (for me) Golf! 🏌️‍♂️ ⛳ While it was a first for some, the residents had a blast and gave it rave reviews.
As the coll weather made it the perfect time to play a few rounds of shuffleboard- and trust us, they weren't just playing, they were competing!

And of course, no week at Uffelman's is complete without a little friendly rivalry with corn hole and bean bag base baseball. ⚾
But that's not all-we also took a break from the action and headed out for a delicious lunch at Logan's! No complaints here, everyone enjoyed getting out and indulging in some great food and company.

Kenny has been part of the Holiday Country Squire family since he was sixteen, working as a junior server. His coworkers all agree that his bright personality and fun spirit make him a joy to be around.

"My favorite part of my job is the residents," he says. "They are all so sweet." One of his most memorable moments was singing for them with his school choir this past December — a performance that meant a lot to him and brought joy to everyone.

Looking ahead, Kenny is excited for what’s next. He dreams of traveling to Sicily, owning his own home, and pursuing a career as a musician. One of his big goals is to learn to play the piano.

We can’t wait to see where life takes Kenny. We’re cheering him on every step of the way!

Here are a few pictures of our Dart game from Saturday, It's safe to say we hit new heights today-several of our residents landed in the outer bull's eye!! It's the best we've played in weeks, and the excitement was unmatched!
This week Bingo-the crowd went wild!
Everyone was all eyes on their cards, and the energy was electric as we all waited for that winning number. 🐶
And of course, we played bocce ball-one of our all-time favorites! The precision, the teamwork, the laughter and cheers made it a perfect way to end a fantastic afternoon.
Our residents sure know how to bring the run! From darts to Bingo to bocce ball, it's all about building connections, enjoying the moment, and making memories. What's your favorite game?

Meet Judy and Barb, friends at Holiday Essex House!

Judy befriended Barb shortly after moving into an apartment down the hall. They check on each other, help each other out and are frequently seen together at outings and scheduled activities. "We love to get a game of Rummikub going with the other residents," Barb shares.

Our residents have been busy making the most of every moment, and we couldn't be more thrilled to share the highlights!

Bingo Fun: We kicked off the week with a friendly game of Bingo-always a crowd, and Corn Hole.

Jane Austen Documentary: We enjoyed a fascinating documentary abut the life of the legendary Jane Austen.: A little history with a lot of heart! ❤️

Cardio Drumming: It's the perfect way to stay fit, have fun and get our hearts pumping. Our residents had a blast drumming along to the beat on 60's music.

From small-town Texas to the world of high fashion! 👗✨

Wally, now a resident at Holiday Andover Place, got her big break when Oscar de la Renta spotted her talent while she was setting up a retail floor in Florida. Impressed by her eye for style and presentation, he hired her on the spot to redo the layout of a bridal salon he was opening in Dallas – and the rest is fashion history.

Though retired, Wally’s love for style is still going strong. “Even if I don’t know somebody,” she says, “they see what I wear and want to know about it.” Most recently, she advised a couple on what to wear for their wedding day.

We wish we were half as glamorous, Wally!

Rockin’ Around the Clock at Holiday Redbud Hills!

🔥It's been a hot start to the week- inside and out! 🔥
while the temperatures outside are climbing, we're keep things just as warm and lively indoors with all the fun we've been having!
Yesterday kicked off with classic game of BINGO, followed by a spirited and very competitive round of bocco ball. We cooled down with a mind-teasing crossword puzzle challenge, and everyone had a blast working together.
Today was a musical treat! We were thrilled to welcome the band ReTired, who entertained us with hits from the 60's and 70's. The residents were singing, tapping their toes, and reminiscing to the timeless classics they love.
Meanwhile, Uffelman hosted a special get together for our amazing staff- a wonderful opportunity to connect, share some laughs, and enjoy some karaoke fun. It was wee-deserved break and a great reminder of how important it is to celebrate each other.

In honor of the famous Festival of San Fermín, July’s Taste of Holiday lunch transported residents to Spain! The flavorful menu featured beef and cheese empanadas, chicken paella with roast vegetables and caramel flan. Residents and their friends savored the experience, which was complemented by a screening of the period piece Carmen.

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination next month!

Besties at Atria Ironwood Estates!

This candid of Sheila and Rose was taken as they headed out for a day on the town. Neighbors turned close friends, they love sharing all the little things in life. "We always make sure to save one another a spot," laughs Rose.

Rose says their friendship is based on mutual understanding. "It has made my life happy, knowing I have a great friend so near."

Sheila adds, “It is so wonderful to be able to enjoy this lifestyle together. We have worked so hard in our lives and have gone through health challenges, so it is such a blessing to be waited on in our retirement years. Especially no more cooking or cleaning!”

These two friends are always on the go, enjoying life and new adventures together.

Our Chef Showdown “sweets” event brought the heat – and plenty of sugar!

Residents, guests and even a panel of celebrity judges watched as our chefs went spatula-to-spatula with residents’ cherished dessert recipes in a live cooking competition. From secret family ingredients to chef-inspired twists, everyone had the chance to taste and vote for their favorite version of each sweet treat.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the fun – and congratulations to all our resident bakers and culinary pros who made this showdown so delicious!

What a week at Uffelman Senior Living!!
We've been having so much fun this week, and we just HAD to share some of our fun with you! 😀
We played bucket pong had everyone laughing and cheering! Then, it was time for some friendly competition as we played Bingo!! 🎲 And, hold on, there's more-one of our newest favorite game, Right Left Center, had us all on the edge of our seats!
But wait, the fun didn't stop there! Our Lasagna Bake-Off was a tasteful delight. Huge thanks to Susan Boggs- Reynolds from Amedisys Home Health and Sandra Porter from AseraCare Hospice for joining us for this delicious event. 🎹 🎶 🎼 We also have two talented pianists who perform in our dining room before each meal, every day! Their beautiful music creates a warm welcoming atmosphere for our residents and guest to enjoy, thank you, Wanda and Donna for sharing your talents with your community. 🎹 🎶 🎼

Congratulations to Andrea, one of this year’s recipients of the Ronnie Boatman Scholarship! 🎓

Andrea is the daughter of Beverly, a valued member of the waitstaff team at Holiday Columbia Pines. In the fall, she’ll attend East Tennessee State University to study health services and tech.

The Boatman Scholarship honors the legacy of beloved Atria leader Ronnie Boatman and has awarded nearly $800,000 to help the children and legal dependents of Atria employees pursue higher education.

Friends Jan and Vera enjoy chatting and "solving all of the world's problems together," they laugh.

The first few times they saw each other at Holiday Vista de la Montan͂a after Vera moved in, they waved cordially and said hi, but they hadn't had a chance to get to know one another. Then one day, it clicked. "We both finally realized that we have been next door neighbors this whole time. We both just couldn't believe it, and we thought that was so hilarious," Jan says.

"Not only is it great to live in the same community as a really good friend, but to have them as your neighbor is even better," adds Vera. "Every resident should get out more often in the community to talk to other residents because hey, you never know, they just might be your neighbor." 😉

We kicked off the holiday in style with a day full of laughs, games and great company! From Shuffleboard challenges to sizzling grilled out goodness, the energy was high all day long. Not to mention, we had a blast with some bean bag baseball ⚾ and wrapped up the fun with a pop-off & snapping pops with James from Suncrest Home Health!
Couldn't have asked for a more epic way to celebrate the 4th of July. What a fun and busy day it's been! 🇺🇸
