Screens keep our minds awake long after the day is done. The light, the scrolling, the endless thoughts — all of it keeps your nervous system alert when it should be unwinding.

Tonight, try a simple unplug ritual:
• Power down your phone or TV at least 30 minutes before bed.
• Step outside, look at the stars, or listen to the quiet.
• Read, stretch, breathe, or simply sit still and notice your own rhythm.

When you give yourself time away from screens, your body begins producing melatonin naturally, helping you drift into deeper, more peaceful sleep.

Here beneath the wide, rolling prairie sky, I’m grateful to walk this healing journey with Sam Drake-Flam—an artist, a creator, and a fellow massage therapy student whose presence feels both grounded and inspiring.

Sam’s art is more than jewelry. It’s renewal.
She upcycles old silverware into spoon rings that hold stories—rings shaped with intention, resilience, and a belief that self-expression is one of the truest forms of well-being. In her hands, worn silver becomes a new beginning, much like the way our prairie winds reshape the land with gentleness and strength.

Her pieces help people feel seen, whether through a delicate floral wrap or a bold, confident spoon end. Each creation carries her hope to spread love, joy, and belonging—simple acts of beauty that ripple outward like light across an open field.

Sam reminds us that art, like healing, grows from the heart outward.
I’m honored to learn beside her, and honored to share her work with our Rolling Prairie community.

Here Beneath the Prairie Sky

An offering shaped by land, breath, and simple living.

Here beneath the prairie sky, everything I share—yoga and Ayurveda, breathwork and pranayama, massage therapy, holistic practices, and even the way we nourish ourselves—comes from the same quiet source: nature. Out here, the wide-open fields remind me to slow down, to listen, to follow the rhythms of the seasons and the wisdom of the body. Yoga teaches us how to move with intention; Ayurveda shows us how to live in balance; breath and pranayama reconnect us to our inner energy; massage therapy softens what life has tightened; and holistic nutrition reminds us to honor the foods grown from this very earth. I don’t hold these teachings as expertise—just gentle insights gathered from movement, stillness, and the land itself. And I’m simply offering them forward, from one open sky to another.

🪣 Take a water break — hydration is the easiest refresh button.

💨 Breathe — try three slow breaths before checking your phone.
