After years of dedication, hard work, and caring service, today we celebrated Barbara Ogburn on her retirement! Housekeeping hosted a sweet and intimate party to honor all the years she has been part of our family since 2014. Thank you Barbara, for the love you poured into our community each day. We had so much fun this week! From making birdhouses, gardening, canvas straw painting, creating flower pots, and adding colorful touches to our spring wreaths. Every day was filled with smiles, laughter, and silly moments. 🌸🎨🌿

We wrapped up the week by making bookmarks that residents later shared with staff, followed by fun in the sun as staff surfed down the water slide while residents cheered them on! ☀️💦

Our tropical day kicked off with lots of laughter and a little friendly competition playing Ring the Flamingo!🦩

We made new friends and enjoyed a special devotion with guests from The Movement Church of Clarksville, along with a wonderful music performance.

The fun continued into the afternoon with refreshing tropical snow cones and plenty of singing to keep the island vibes going all day long! 🌺 🎶

Ahava took it back to the 80’s and 90’s for a fun-filled themed day! 🎶💿

We started the morning gardening out on the patio, followed by a delicious fish fry lunch complete with hushpuppies, corn on the cob, and coleslaw. The fun continued with laughter-filled, competitive games of “Pass the Record” and an 80’s price challenge. Wow, have prices changed! 💸

We started our day with a fun game of “Have You Ever,” sharing laughter over memorable, embarrassing, and funny stories. If you had done it, you raised your paddle high in the air! ✋🏽

After that, we rolled right into our Old School Picnic where we played classic games like hopscotch, jump rope, Twister, and baseball. We filled our bellies with a delicious lunch of fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and cupcakes for dessert! We wrapped up the afternoon with fellowship and a Penny Auction, where residents had a blast winning all kinds of goodies. 🧺🧁😊

It’s been such a fun week! We celebrated Cinco De Mayo with margaritas and designing colorful maracas. Our residents learned how to make mug cakes and they were delicious! We also had Science 101 where we explored water movement, density, and temperature effects, and even watched a lava lamp come to life. To top it all off, we exercised both our bodies and our minds all week long! 🌮🎉🍰🧪

We had such a wonderful time welcoming the Kenwood Middle School Choir today! Their beautiful voices brought so many smiles to our residents. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, we loved every minute of it! 🎶💃
