Why do we feel so fried by 4PM?

This week’s episode is a solo one, and I found myself sitting with that question that felt very personal and familiar.

We tend to point to the obvious things. Busy days, responsibilities, changes in our bodies. And those things matter.

But as I was talking it through, I realized how much of that feeling can also come from the things we leave open throughout the day.

The thoughts we revisit. The conversations we haven’t had.The little pieces of life that never quite get finished.

It’s not always what’s happening around us. Sometimes it’s what’s quietly staying with us.

“Fried by 4PM” on the Getting to After podcast premieres on YouTube, Spotify and Apple on 4/21 at 8AM ET.

I think this one will sit with you, so come on into the room.

Rest easy, sis.

We didn’t plan for this one to feel this personal… but it does.

This week’s episode is about something that doesn’t get talked about enough—midlife motherhood when your children still need you, just not in the same way.

It’s that quiet shift. The one where you’re still Mom… but everything feels different.

We talked about what support looks like now, what letting go really feels like, and those moments where you might catch yourself wondering… “Where do I fit now?”

We also included a gentle tapping session to help you sit with those feelings and make space for this version of you… without rushing past it.

🎙️ Still Mom, Just Different
Airing Tuesday at 8AM ET on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple.

You are not as forgettable as you think.

Because what you don’t always get to see
is the impact you’re making while you’re making it.

Meaningless isn’t always loud.
Important isn’t always acknowledged in the moment.

But that doesn’t mean it didn’t land.

Someone remembers your kindness.
Someone remembers how you made them feel.
Someone remembers YOU.

Even if you weren’t there to hear it.

Somewhere between January and now, a lot of us started to feel behind.

Not because we lack capability or don’t care. But because life kept moving and some of the things we planned just didn’t happen.

And then, instead of letting that go, we carried it, from month to month, right into April.

Now What??

This week on Getting to After, Morganne & I talked about that honestly.

Not in a “do better, try harder” kind of way. But in a way that actually makes room for real life.

We walked through:
• how to acknowledge what did happen
• how to stop measuring yourself only by what didn’t
• and how to release some of that pressure instead of dragging it forward

We also included a full EFT Tapping Transformation to help with the disappointment, the self-talk, and that feeling of being behind.

Because the truth is, you’re not as far off as you think.

And you don’t have to carry everything into what comes next.

🎧 Tune in the live video premiere on YouTube at 8AM Tuesday, April 7:, or listen on the Getting to After podcast channels on Spotify & Apple.

If this is where you are right now, this episode will meet you there.

Keeping our eyes forward with you…Cheers

This week’s podcast episode took so many turns. We certainly didn’t start out talking about bra fittings, but that’s where we ended up. It’s all part ‘Becoming Her’ & Getting to After!

Let normalize getting your equilibrium back as part of your journey. No one stands straight all the time. No one lives without wavering. When your voice is a whisper but you use your words anyway - you ARE making history. And your legacy will follow you.

As ends, don’t forget your impact.

Keep speaking up.
Even if you stutter.
Count your voice in, because your voice counts.

We don't say this out loud enough…
there comes a point where you look at your life and realize
you’re not the same woman you were 5 or 10 years ago.
Not just in what you’ve been through, but in how you think, how you respond, what you’re willing to carry… and what you’re not.

Some things feel easier now.
Some things don’t.
There are things you’ve let go of without even announcing it.
And other things you’re still trying to figure out.

That’s what we talked about this week on Getting to After.
Just a real conversation about becoming. while you’re still working, showing up, taking care of people, and living your actual life.

And one thing we kept coming back to was this:
Even with everything that’s changing…
you can still feel like yourself.

You can still feel grounded.
You can still feel whole.

If you’ve been somewhere in that space lately, I think you’ll recognize yourself in this one.

Settle in and join us at 8AM ET on YouTube, Spotify & Apple.

There are moments when a woman makes a decision. Nothing looks different on the outside.

But everything shifts.

A sentence.
A boundary.
A quiet “no more.”
A choice.
Do something differently.

And from that moment forward…the story changes.

This week on Getting to After, we’re talking about how women change the history of their families—often in ways no one applauds, but everyone eventually feels. Simply because they used their voice.

If you’ve ever felt that shift happening inside of you…
come sit with us for this one, premiering on Tuesday, March 24th at 8AM ET.

Wherever you check out podcasts, we will be there: Apple, Spotify, YouTube.

We're ending this Women's Month STRONG!

In this episode of Getting to After, we explore what it really means for midlife women to change history—not through big public moments, but through everyday...
