December often sees a slight uptick in home sales compared to November, even as the broader market slows for winter. First-time buyers are particularly active, drawn by year-end tax benefits. https://bit.ly/3KwoHo9

Historical data suggests that December has some distinctive patterns that set it apart from the months around it.

Yesterday, we gathered at The Barn at Sleepy Hollow for our JCBOR General Board meeting, where we were treated to a delectable and beautifully prepared Thanksgiving meal, generously sponsored by Vanessa Zavala with Arvest Bank and catered by Melissa Hurst Muldoon.

What better way to celebrate than to present this year's fundraising proceeds to our four chosen recipients? The proceeds from our annual Teacup Auction Fundraising event, held each September, enabled us to present checks totaling $8,276.16 to four deserving nonprofit organizations, with each receiving $2,069.04.

This year's recipients were:

Johnson County Helping Hands
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
Disabled American Veterans
Pregnancy Help Clinic

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community for their unwavering support and attendance at the teacup auction each year, as well as to our affiliate members and businesses who generously donate sponsor levels and items. Your selflessness and kindness are the driving force behind our success, and we are forever grateful. Without you, none of this would be possible!!
